Excellent Coverage!!

Dobie is a 6 year old terrier mix who managed to rupture a disk in his back. Injury happened on/about Jan. 22. I had full coverage reimbursement, final check on March 2!! Dobie needed back/spinal surgery and you just can't go to the doc down the street for that. We ended up at the Vet Neuro Center......and of course the best and most expensive place in town. Dobie has a puppy mill rescue sister and breaking in a new buddy was just not in our plan so we got Dobie fixed, and they did an excellent job. The "Embracers" checked on us via email regularly (which is right up my busy alley) and did an outstanding job in caring for us and paying our claim. Dobie is out of claim money for the year, but promises to behave until at least next year.

Don't Be Fooled

Embrace does a really great job of following up with you to make sure you get everything in they need to get you started filing claims. Sounds great right?!?! Too bad they will not cover anything that could REMOTELY relate to any treatment given to your pet prior to your policy with them. So, if your pet has taken an allergy pill before they will not cover any subsequent allergy problems. Don't fall for it like I did!

Customer relations are top-notch!!

I switched from VPI to Embrace after VPI refused to insure my year old Aussie because of IBD. Though his condition is excluded, Embrace had no problem insuring both my dogs, and it's a good thing! About a month after joining, the same dog was diagnosed with heartworm, which he contracted prior to me getting him. Embrace has been wonderful in responding to my inquiries and in sending the reimbursements with best wishes for a his speedy recovery. All of my emails are answered quickly and the agents are a pleasure to talk to. Definately the best choice in my opinion.

I RESEARCHED MANY PET INSURANCE COMPANIES AND PLANS. PET EMBRACE IS BY FAR SUPERIOR TO ALL OTHERS. I AM ALWAYS MET WITH A CARING,KNOWLEDGABLE,CAPABLE EMPLOYEE WHEN I HAVE PHONED. I REFERRED MANY TO EMBRACE. THIS IS MY SECOND YEAR OF INSURANCE FOR MY BELOVED TRIXIE. THANK YOU ALL AT PET EMBRACE. CLAIMS ARE HANDLED TIMELY AS ARE PAYOUTS. I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED A DISCREPENCY ON EITHER END. EMAILS AND CORRESPONDENCE ARE PROMPT.

We are very happy with pets best

When we got our new lab puppy, we felt we should also review purchasing pet insurance. We reviewed every company, and the one that continued to be recommended was Pets Best. The final recommendation came from our AHHA cretified veterinary hospital owner, who made a strong recommendation for Pets Best. We purchased a policy on Madison with Pets Best. Madison "Our new lab" has had her first vistit, and everything went well with Pets Best. We get tremendous peace of mind having this insurance and would certainly recommend this company to anyone. Thank you Pets Best!

Not An Honorable Company

My first pet insurance experience was with this company; I was in part lured in by the ASPCA endorsement. I was concerned that the policies offered for my 2 cats and one dog were not particularly good but decided to give it a try. I did understand that every renewal was treated as a new application and coverage for illnesses occuring within the previous year would not be covered. I also understood the limits of coverage per illness. What angers me the most however is not that Hartville offers poor policies (after all I did purchase the policies) but that they did not reimburse fairly even given the limits of the policies. The reimbursement schedule is very low; three animals, three cities, 5 vet clinics- always the reimbursement was 60% after deductibles and co-pays (not the promised 80%). What they consider reasonable isn't. The adjusters also look for every reason to deny reimbursement. Part of a claim was denied for "timely filing" although they only want one claim per illness (how does that work?). They tried denying a claim for an emergency visit for my acutely ill cat claiming that it was due to his chronic mild liver inflammation. The cat died three days later of acute leukemia. I did finally receive some payment but only after repeated calls and many weeks. The renewal policy for the dog listed "ingestion of foreign bodies" as a pre-existing condition that would not be covered. Since when is one accidental ingestion a chronic condition? (That incident only cost them $40- a fraction of the premium- the dog was entirely healthy otherwise) In short, Hartville offers poor policies and then doesn't even honor their side of the contract. After extensive research I have been able to find better policies elsewhere for the same or only slightly more money. The ASPCA should be ashamed to partner with a company like Hartville.

Great insurance and peace of mind

Name:Kathy FastAddress: Plainfield IN Story:Our kitty's name is Patches and he is 11 yrs old. He developed diabetes in November of 2008 and I have to say how amazed I am with this pet insurance. I had been a contributor to ASPCA for helping homeless animals for quite a while and only found out about their pet insurance a couple of yrs ago. Patches was virtually always healthy, never sick and never went to see the vet except for his yrly exam and shots. Since his diagnosis, I have had to take him to the doctor several times for bloodwork and tests while they are trying to regulate his blood sugar. I am amazed at how prompt ASPCA is in paying their claims, and they have paid exactly what they said they would pay. I feel like I have a "guardian angel looking over us by having this insurance thru ASPCA. I don't feel so quite alone in going thru this with Patches. He is doing great, his blood sugar is coming down although the vet said it may take a while for us to go to where it needs to be. I just feel so fortunate to have found this insurance --it has been a lifesaver, especially with the times being so hard right now Thank you ASPCA! Kathy Fast

Pets Best is a Joke

My dog had a traumatic injury that injured his patella. They refused to pay my claim b/c they said it was congenital. The dog did not limp before the injury. I filed a dispute and they still said the same thing. The company is a joke and they steal money. I guess since all animals have genes then every condition is congenital. They just did not listen to me or my vet. I am going to specidically not recommend Pets Best to all my friends/relatives. Also it took almost 3 months to get as far as I have gotten. They are worse than people insurance. They probably just reject claims hoping that no one will dispute them.
