We had to take our 12 yr old German Shepard to FAH the day after Labor day 2011 to be put to sleep. They were not our normal vet office. He could no longer walk due to hip dysplasia. It was closing time at the vet, but they allowed us to stay with Dallas to the very end, and he took a long time to go peacefully to sleep. The Dr. sent us a very warm hand written card with the hospital's sympathy. It made us feel that they felt as sad as we did losing our beloved pet. We decided from that time on, if we ever got another German Shepard, they would be our vet. We have since gotten another puppy, and would not think of taking him anywhere else but FAH!

I like the vets there, especially Dr. Hopp. The only thing is that they are a bit expensive, especially for the office visit. Treats your pets good and has great alternatives for cures.

I did like this place. Like always, it is the price that drives me somewhere else. Other than that, great place for your dog to be treated.

I absolutely love this clinic! I've tried three or four other animal hospitals over the years and CGAH is by far the best. Dr. Peg, Dr. Mike, and Dr. Sara are really knowledgable, realistic (I have a fur-baby with a variety of health issues), and always go out of their to take care of our little guy. They are by no means the cheapest vets, but the quality of service that the doctors and their outstanding staff provide make it all well worth it.

Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital is fantastic. We have taken Copper (our 9 month old German Shepherd) there since we got him at 12 weeks. We asked all of our friends in the area who they would recommend when we first got him and everyone said, drive the extra 15 mins and go to Pleasant Valley (even though we have 2 closer vets). We have been nothing but pleased. Everyone there always makes a fuss about him when he arrives and truly care about the pets that are there. Copper actually gets excited when he goes in there to see the techs. The payment options are also very helpful. They have a "first year of life" plan that gives you a discount on all of your "first year" shots and procedures. They're so great when you have him in and call to let you know the results of any tests and to check on him after procedures. I don't ever have to call and hunt them down for anything. My husband usually takes him for a lot of his shots, etc, and he says Dr. G'Sullivan is great and really down-earth. He'll tell you what he recommends and is in the best interest of the dog overall, not just what will make them money. They even have a boarding facility there "Lucky Chance" and we recently took Copper there for an overnight stay (we had never done this before) and he seemed to do very well with it. We love Pleasant Valley!

Everyone from the office staff to the Vets are wonderful. You never feel pushed into something you don't believe your pet needs and they allow you to fully weigh your options in regards to your pet's treatment. Everytime I call a vet is available to talk to within minutes.
