I have a 13-year-old dog whose recent blood work showed liver problems. I took him in for an ultrasound and fine needle asperant. Pets Best covered MORE than I expected! Two years ago the same dog also had an abscess that required treatment and tests. Again, they covered more than I thought they would. Great company! I have a younger dog and a young cat, and after my first great experience I got them insurance, too. I will never go without it again. 10/10 Great Customer Service and Easy Filing, 5/3/2013

Our dog is a complete lemon - a wonderful, cuddly lemon, but a lemon all the same. When she was a puppy we realized that health issues would be Charlie's constant companion and, after her irritable bowel disease diagnosis, we started shopping for pet insurance. Many of the companies that our vet recommended (including pet insurance giant VPI) refused to take her saying that her IBD was a preexisting condition and they would not take the risk.
Pets Best not only took the risk, but has been incredible to deal with over the years. And deal with us they have! If health issues were dollar bills, I'd be a very wealthy person - urinary incontinence, Vitiligo, chronic ear infections and even a torn ACL that required surgery - Pets Best has been with us every step of the way.
They've treated us fairly as far as reimbursement is concerned and their customer service is outstanding! Not only is their portal easy to use, but their phone reps are the nicest customer service reps I have ever dealt with. They will literally help you with ANYTHING to do with your policy - I have never once been told it wasn't their job and they have often had to go above and beyond to assist me with complex questions regarding my dog and her health. These guys really know their stuff and are more than willing to help you along the way.

10/10 Pets Best Insurance IS the BEST!!, 4/21/2013

My dog had a broken tooth which was broken up inside the gum, so it was loose. I took him to the vet & was told it wasn't a simple extraction, it was a surgical procedure & needed to be done right away or it could abcess. Surgery was performed, and turned out there was also an infection. I paid the bill, which was over $800, including a deep cleaning while he was under anesthesia. I submitted claim to Pets Best, and after they contacted me a couple of times to request some past vet records & ask a couple of questions, I received a check for $600!! Pets Best paid for everything except the deep teeth cleaning, & less the $100 deductible!! Needless to say, I was thrilled. I also have another dog with Pets Best Insurance, and he developed a rough bump on his chest. I took him to the vet, and he is being treated for dermatitis. He has had a few vet visits & medication, and Pets Best has reimbursed me for almost all of the cost. I have always been hesitant to get pet insurance, but decided to jump in and give it a try, hoping I wouldn't be wasting my money, and I must say, I made the right decision by going with Pets Best Insurance! | | Injury/Illness: Broken tooth Breed: Mexican Hairless Dog |

We submitted two claims. One through fax from the vets office and the other through the mail. They are very quick, you just need to make sure you show you paid. The one time there was an issue they contacted me immediately and told me what I needed to do. I was confused by all the pet plans online, but luckily picked Pets Best for my old dog. I filed one claim and the service was SO excellent that i cancelled the insurance I had for my other dog and switched her too to Pets Best. I just filed my second claim and it was processed within 24 hours!!! I have recommended this plan to office workers in my vet's office and to many other friends.

10/10 Wonderful insurance,
I've had 4 claims over a 3 year period with Pets Best. It has been easy to file claims, and they have always covered the entire bill without question, minus my $75 deductible and 20% copay. Last year I got back the premium amount because of one foxtail-in-the-nose incident (ouch) and a concern that Hannah was losing weight, which necessitated blood tests. 8/10 Worth Having,
This is the second time I have reviewed this company. I am excited to say that I have been pleased with some of the changes they have implemented. Initially I gave them a low score of 2. 10/10 Pets Best has come through each time,
I have all my dogs and cat on Pets Best Policies. Pets Best has always been there for my questions in customer service and have always paid out what they have explained they would pay out. About 7 months ago I had my largest breed dog get sick and the bill was way over $2500. Pets Best paid 80% of my vet bill. 10/10 Number one pet insurance company!!,
I have never been more pleased with a pet insurance company than I am with Pets Best. I previously had experience with VIP and they were not as efficient and their "fee schedule" was not reasonable.
