10/10   Well worth the wait!, 11/18/2014

I got two puppies a the same time. Not the smartest decision, but keeping the brother and sister feels good now after all that training.

The smartest decision was getting embrace pet insurance from the beginning!

I spent years NOT using the insurance - which is really the best thing. No problems, no need. After 7 years of paying 2x the premiums I was starting to think - was it worth it. When all of a sudden my little athlete - Ali decided she could leap and turn like a ballerina. She can't - TORN ACL!

Well in a moment it was all worth it, that was an expensive surgery to get her (literally) back on her feet, and I was so relieved to have Embrace behind me. I didn't have to worry about the surgery I could just get my Ali back.

8/10   Nice to have Embrace in my corner, 11/17/2014

I have a 5 year old Doberman who had been lame in his front leg for months. Our regular vets tried many conservative treatments to no avail. It was suggested that we seek the orthopedic vet specialist. We did that, he had shoulder arthroscopic surgery and is getting post-op physical therapy. I'm happy to report that he is lame no more. More importantly, a very expensive and long treatment has been re-imbursed by Embrace. As I mentioned, its so nice to have Embrace in my corner --I do tell everyone at the vets about you guys. Also, my daughter just added a great dane puppy to her family and is also enrolled in Embrace.

8/10   Get Insurance before pet, 11/17/2014

I recently brought home a 1 yr old rescue dog. Within the first week of getting her, I took her to the vet for vaccine and initial check up. This was for both insurance documentation and understanding current medical status of new pet. Had to undergo initial vaccinations and a urinary infection ER trip within the "14 day waiting period". Am I supposed to not take it to the vet until 2 weeks after getting a new pet or predict a new family member 2 weeks in advance in order to assume coverage. Perhaps an exception to the waiting period for rescue pets since they have not had previous owners and have unknown medical history.

The response times have been quick. I wish there was an email option in addition to mail or fax. Especially since I do get email requests for things such as the orthopedic check.

10/10   Lesson learned, 11/12/2014

My two year old poodle mix has been insured by Embrace since she adopted me when she was 5 months old. We have had several claims for gastritis, including one surgery. We were' doing fine until I let a friend with a dog the same age watch her. I usually use an in home professional, but decided to make an exception. After specifically writing out instructions, and providing appropriately portioned prescription dog food, my friend let my dog share some of her pet food. Needless to say we had yet another claim for gastritis. Embrace never questioned where or why. Love the peace of mind knowing I am working with such a great company.

10/10   Lab Puppy Swallows Pacifier- Embrace Saves the Day, 11/11/2014

Reviewed By: Casey O, Recommend: Y

I purchased an Embrace insurance policy as soon as we brought home our 8 week old lab puppy. He had some normal health issues, stomach upset, an ear infection, neutering and Embrace responded each time in a friendly and timely manner.

Now 10 months old- our lab puppy swallowed a pacifier which became lodged in his intestines, causing a complete blockage. There is no option other than emergency surgery to fix this issue, or death. At 2 AM in the emergency room, when faced with the option of surgery or putting him down, it was easy to opt for surgery knowing Embrace was behind us. Instead of $4000 bill, we paid our 20% co-pay and our lab is back to normal (plus one giant scar).

I have to say, I watched more then one person at the desk pull out credit card after credit card just to pay for their pets health care and it was heartbreaking. Knowing that I wasn't going to have to put my family in financial jeopardy AND that I could save our dog, was the greatest confirmation that buying an Embrace policy was the best decision we made as dog owners.

10/10   More coverage than anyone else out there!,
This is my first go round with pet insurance, and I got into it a little late in the game (after my dog was already having some health issues). Embrace was the ONLY pet insurance company I could find that would even consider covering a pre-existing condition if it was considered curable. I find that when I submit claims, they are processed within about 2 weeks, and I find that instead of finding reasons… read more

8/10   Good reimbursements,
I am in the health insurance business - but on the people side. When choosing a pet insurance, I did NOT want a scheduled plan such as VPI has. This type of plan pays a VERY small amount on what is typically a MUCH higher claim amount. The type of plan you want is the type of plan that Embrace offers - deductible and coinsurance based on the BILLED amount. My bluetick coonhound Georgie who is only 3… read more

9/10   Great customer service,
This is my first experience with Pet Insurance, and so far, I'm very pleased. They don't have the integrated website features that other companies have, but this is more than made up for with the very responsive customer service. Claims are processed fairly and in a very timely manner. I recommend Embrace to anyone looking for a pet insurance company. Unfortunately Embrace isn't licensed by the state of… read more

10/10   Simply the BEST!!!,
Previously we had other health insurance for our dogs. The few times we had to make a claim, we were always diappointed - where did these figures come from? How can they pay us so little? When our new Rottweiler puppy was about to join our family, I really searched for pet insurance. They all seemed the same as what we had already experienced and then I read about Embrace. The notion of actually… read more

9/10   Great Coverage, Decent reimbursement Time,
Iíve had Embrace Pet Insurance for just over a year. I have 2 of my pets insured, about to insure a 3rd. Over all, the company is great! They have awesome customer service, have never had an issue with coverage, and although pricier than others, I find it to cover more than other companies. Their wellness coverage is great, especially the new $400 planÖ perfect plan to be able to get annual vaccines and… read more
