At 12:15am one night in August, I went to retrieve my 6 year old male cat Misty May from my screened in porch. He struggled, tried to bite me and twisted out of my arms on to the porch floor where he vomited and hunched up in obvious pain and distress. I rushed him to Animal Emergency where he was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis and ileus. He spent two days in the hospital in supportive care. The bill was $2000! I submitted the claims and Embrace did cover the cost less my deductible and 20% co-pay. However I will say it took Embrace more than 6 weeks to reimburse me and multiple emails back and forth. Nonetheless, I was glad I had the policy and do recommend insuring your pet with Embrace.

Our Bernese Mountain dog puppy was diagnosed with ED/ and HD. She needed her Elbow surgery asap as she was still young. Embrace helped us all along the way. We had many questions and each was answered promptly. The surgery was pre-certified in a couple of days and after her surgery we claim was processed very fast. I can't say enough good things about Embrace. This is such a professional but also kind team - they care about our animals as much as we do. Five stars here *****

I filed my dogs wellness claim, he was neutered. I faxed in my paperwork and a week later my claim was reviewed and reimbursement check was issued. Quick and easy! No jumping through hoops! I am extremely happy with the sevice this far.

We have 2 small dogs and after being completely healthy for over 3 years, they both suddenly had health issues that necessitated multiple vet visits and medical procedures for both. I have been completely happy with the reimbursement of all of these claims, and appreciate the email updates during the processing. At one point I didn't understand the status indicated on one pending claim on their Embrace portal, and a customer service representative explained it fully and quickly by email. My only dissatisfaction is with the price of the premium for us this year; we are a military family and after living in the central US have been transferred to southern California and our premium prices were increased astronomically due to our geographic area.

I am in the health insurance business - but on the people side. When choosing a pet insurance, I did NOT want a scheduled plan such as VPI has. This type of plan pays a VERY small amount on what is typically a MUCH higher claim amount. This is my first experience with Pet Insurance, and so far, I'm very pleased. They don't have the integrated website features that other companies have, but this is more than made up for with the very responsive customer service.
