Pets Best was the BEST decision we ever made

"When our dog was in a vehicle accident on Thanksgiving day it was such a relief that the decision to take him in was easy because we knew we had a plan through Pet's Best. Through X-rays we found he needed emergency surgery and in our small town they don't do those surgeries so we had to travel overnight (in a snow storm) to an emergency clinic. As they went over everything the bill was not the main concern and we likely would have had to amputate because of the cost of surgery for his multiple breaks in his leg. We are so thrilled to see our pup fully healed playing with his brother and our toddler who adores him! We are so grateful for the smooth process with claims and reasonable turn around time. I have recommended Pets Best to any of our family and friends with pets or looking at adopting a new pet. "

Not so great

Honestly, not super impressed with PetsBeat. I only stay with them because if I change companies my dogs preexisting conditions won’t be covered. It takes several weeks for claims to get paid - even ones that are regularly occurring. One of my dogs gets a shot monthly and every time I get an email like 2 weeks after submitting claim saying they are reaching out to my vet for more info. What could they possibly need? It’s literally the exact same thing they approved the month before.

Terrible experience from start to…

Terrible experience from start to finish. I was given a heavy sales pitch from a rep at the humane society. I was exhausted and had decision fatigue from being there for hours, but one of his big talking points was that I have nothing to lose and had around a month to cancel and not be charged. Two weeks later I tried to cancel it. The app isn’t not very user friendly or functional, they make you call to cancel. Again, they hit me with hard sales pitches and told me to just keep it the additional two weeks and that I could cancel at any time. So I did. They never mentioned the loophole that if you submit a claim, even if the claim is denied, that this option is now void. A week later I had to take my cat to the emergency vet. They covered absolutely nothing and didn’t even apply the $450 towards my deductible. What a scam! I had Spot pet insurance before them and they are amazing. Never any issues and their app is more user friendly and functional. Claims are quicker too.

Great catch

Carter was very helpful in getting my babies registered for insurance. He also noticed that I was being quoted for the state of California instead of Arkansas. What a huge savings once this was fixed.
