Quick Claims Processing and Reimbursement
"I had to take my cat to an emergency clinic near my hometown in NJ over a holiday weekend. She then had emergency surgery from her regular vet, then back to emergency clinic for overnight monitoring. Needless to say, I was afraid I might go bankrupt! But I submitted my claims to Pets Best and was surprised how quickly my claims were processed and how quickly I received reimbursement. I am so happy that I signed up for the Accident/Illness option with Pets Best. "
Senior Cat Chronic Conditions
Our cat has reached senior status and has developed some chronic health problems - thyroid, heart arrhythmia, kidney function, ear infections - and he requires a good amount of ongoing veterinary care and medication to maintain a good quality of life. If it weren't for Pets Best I'm not sure we would have been able to medically provide the best care for him, but we feel very confident in his care plan and care team, and thanks to Pets Best we are able to help him enjoy life as a senior cat, which to us is priceless. Very Happy
My first claim was a little difficult, but I was trying to file for 2 bernedoodles with one invoice. After speaking to someone who worked it out for me, this last claim was a breeze! My money showed up in my account and the EOB showed up in my email in record time. Thank you!

Best pet insurance
i’ve already given a Google review, but I would be happy to once again state how pleased I am with Pets Best insurance. Having this insurance was literally a lifesaver for my dog. We have been using this insurance for the last 4 to 5 years and in that time we've had to file an emergency claim, regular check ups, and now that my dog is elderly She is on medication and sees the vet more often. We do have the most expensive coverage however it is well worth it. My dogs medication's are all covered. Her chiropractic visits are covered as well as her red light therapy for her failing hips. If we did not have the insurance we would not have been able to keep her in a comfortable state. The medication alone is hundreds of dollars a month, but without the medication, her quality of life would be very poor. We are very lucky to have this insurance that we are able to give her the best possible care and not stress financially. The fact that the insurance covers 90% has been such a blessing. Although we do have to pay out-of-pocket, we are reimbursed very quickly and usually before my credit card statement is due I've already been reimbursed to pay the credit card. The customer service is also excellent. I would highly recommend anyone with a pet to get insurance with Pets Best insurance.
Difficult to get your claims approved
Pets best keeps increasing my premium, I pay about 3 times more than what I paid 3 years ago, also they don't let me change my policy, unfortunately, I'm stuck because all dog's insurance companies are the same, my dog has a condition that would be considered as pre-existing if I change her insurance. Every time I try to submit a claim with Pets Best, they make it harder and change the rules, and they take super long to reimburse if they approve your claim. Customer service is poor and rude. I do not recommend this insurance to anyone, find a company that responds better to claims submitted.

Difficult claims process
Website is hard to navigate, it makes it hard for you to find your documents, it asks for a date pet first saw a provider for the issue whenever you submit a claim which does not make sense for ongoing medications and then denies if the date entered is greater than 180 days ago. After you submit a claim you cannot view the documents submitted which has made it hard to track when my husband and I take turns submitting. And customer service is a joke. Too late for me to change since if I did all issues would become preexisting with the new insurance. Do your research and find somewhere good when your pet is young as pet insurance companies make it impossible to switch

Consisten, Clear Claims Process!
I have two dogs and two insurance policies. Whether I am submitting a well-dog or sick-dog claim, the process is always the same. They acknowledge your claim immediately, let you know if it may take longer than expected, and quickly respond (and pay). If your claim is denied, they explain why and tell you how to get in touch with them if you disagree or have questions. I never have questions because they are so thorough!

Excellent Pet Insurance Company
Since February of 2026 we tried to get a diagnosis for our cat Lui. He had lost a lot of weight and was having gastric issues. We went to two different vets from February through July, a specialist for a surgical biopsy in July, and finally to the Animal Cancer Care center after Lui was diagnosed with two types of cancer. Pets Best made a very emotional and distressful time for my husband and I easier by giving us financial peace of mind. We have had coverage on our six cats for many years, but this year was the first time we've had to file claims. The claim submission process is very simple and convenient. Our claims were reviewed within 2-7 days and every one of them was paid with no questions. We use Care Credit and our claims are paid directly to the card. We finally have Lui on a treatment protocol and he's already feeling better. Pets Best has made things that much easier for us because we don't have to worry about paying high vet bills!
