Every interaction I've had now, and with past claims has been positive. I feel that Trupanion is very clear on what's covered and what isn't, and when the time comes to claim, coverage is exactly what I expect. Customer service staff is always very patient and empathetic.

Timing is everything
I turned in my paperwork early January and didn't realize that it doesn't get processed until the next month, which doesn't seem fair to me. Then I performed radiographs 2 days prior to my cat being out of the 30 day waiting period, again not realizing that he still wasn't covered. So now my money didn't go toward the deductible (which is fine, it wasn't very expensive) but also now my cat's cough is considered '˜pre-existing' even though he didn't have a cough when I turned in my paperwork (or even 30 days after I turned in my paperwork). I guess that's just how insurance works for people and pets but I hope that this doesn't end up working against me throughout his lifetime.

Thank you, Trupanion, for being such an amazing company! My pup needed dental surgery due and it was so relieving to know I had your insurance on my side.
