Impressive customer service at a stressful time
When our beloved feral rescue cat from Syria got seriously sick (we thought we were going to lose her), we were so grateful to have Trupanion's rapid response to payment approval - truly impressive. In such a stressful time, it was a relief not to worry about vet bills.

Excellent Insurance
Before we got our present puppy we decided we would have insurance for her. Vet bills have become so expensive now. I spent days researching all the different insurance policies available and decided Pets Best was the best one for us. Chrissy is now 2 and 1/2 years old and we got insurance on her right from the start. We have never regretted our choice. Pets Best helps with yearly exams, lab work, vaccinations, flea and tick medicine, dental as well as catastrophic bills. Dental was especially important to me because she is a Maltese-Yorkie and later in life their teeth and gums become horrible. It’s so easy to file a claim. You take a photo of your invoice and send it with your claim and 3-4 days later Pets Best deposits your money straight into your checking account. It couldn’t be easier. You also get your EOB through your email and it’s very easy to read. We are very happy with Pets Best. This insurance is correctly named!

Evasive claim practices utilizing the “ keep asking for more documentation “ until you get so frustrated, you just accept the denial. My claim took over 90 days and cancelled after their process. I asked the customer service representative to review the countless calls and emails to improve their organization.

So Thankful for Pet Insurance!
We chose to sign up for Pets Best insurance when our dog was a puppy and it was a great decision. At 14 months, she was diagnosed with immune-mediated polyarthritis (IMPA) which has required multiple medications, specialist vet visits, and rehab. We are able to provide what she needs much more easily because our Pets Best insurance covers much of her medical costs. We are so thankful we made the decision to get pet insurance before we ever needed it!

Avoid Pets Best
Avoid Pets Best. Dealing with their claims department for my two German Shepherds is completely exhausting. Both dogs have chronic hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis. Despite their treatments being identical for over a year, Pets Best demands a mountain of repetitive medical records every single week. Their system is total chaos: • Denials & Delays: Denied coverage for simple acupuncture/B-12 injections -mentioning aquapunture according with tehm, but B-12 is free, no cost, they deneid $180/pet and took over 9 months to reimburse an Arthramid injection. • Portal Mess: Flooded with duplicate claims that suddenly drop to ZERO due to internal administrative errors. • Incompetence: My dogs see world-class vets at UC Davis Veterinary Hospital. Pets Best adjusters claim they "don’t understand" university billing systems and complain because both pets are itemized on the same statement. Shck wave treament treated as holistic with proven published scientific records increased mobility
