DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I stand by my statement to NOT use Pets Best Pet Health Insurance. First off, you CANNOT login without having a verification of your identity using either your email or phone number. The problem is, choosing either option does NOT get you any closer to verification as you will never receive a code. I just got my appeal back from them. They stand by their argument that my cat ingesting something on an unknown date is a PRE-EXISTING CONDITION! I requested the cancellation of all my policies with them after this. That was over $6,000 for a surgery that will not be covered because a vet tech put an approximate date in his file when the date was unknown and refused to correct it. Also, shame on Veterinary Healthcare Associates in Winter Haven, FL for not correcting their mistake. #DoBETTER

I havent used the insurance but it seems expensive/ preexisting exclusions
I havent used the insurance, the shelter I adopted my dog from said it was active and I should continue it. But it doesn't pay for any preventives as far as I can tell, and the shelter papers said the dog has a bunch of health issues already. None of which the vet can find. So if any of those things come up won't they be considered preexisting conditions and won't be covered? I did try to use it once when the dog tested positive for Lyme and Anaplasma and needed antibiotics. But the vet said it isn't an insurance card that they process and I would need to send the receipt in to the company. In the meantime I was paying over $80 a month and now it seems it's gone up over $100 a month so I'm probably going to cancel it. They send a lot of emails but I don't see how it's helping my dog's health or my expenses any. Just paid $400 for a checkup and vaccine boosters, I'd rather save my money towards vet care I guess

Trupanion… a very compassionate company
Trupanion was compassionate with a follow up email after my dog was diagnosed with diabetes. Payment to the Animal Hospital ( a 4-day stay) was flawless and quick. Claims for insulin, needles, and glucose monitoring sensors are processed quickly. I highly recommend Trupanion if you are looking for pet insurance.

I would classify this as a scam based…
I would classify this as a scam based on my experience. I signed up for pet insurance hoping I would never have to use it for my older cat. Unfortunately she had a minor illness and the vet prescribed her new food. They want SOAP notes going back to 12 months before enrollment, so up to 2 years from now. Why mot ask for that at enrollment? At this point it’s been over 30 days of nonstop emails about how information is missing from my claim. They don’t ask for things up front and every time I provide what they ask for they move the goal post. I’ll be canceling my policy, thousands in premiums paid for nothing!

Healthy paws has been amazing!!!! We love them!
Healthy paws has been amazing!!! I have never regretted having insurance for my dogs. Most recently I had to use it for a major emergency with my big little man my Chihuahua, Mikey, BIG MIKE and guess what not only is he back home thriving now but healthy paws did not even question the coverage/reimbursement and they made it so easy and refunded me very fast! I i’m so grateful to healthy paws and I tell everybody I know to get health insurance and also to buy portable Pet Oxygen. You can buy Pet Oxygen through companies like Paw print or other companies etc. I do not work for them or anything like that LOL but I used the portable oxygen with Mikey and I think it helped save his life…. So definitely don’t hesitate to buy coverage with healthy paws . They are an exceptional and ethical company! Buy it and pray you never need to use it :)!! Also I appreciate they have unlimited policies! Mikey’s vet bill was huge!!! He went to a top tier ER who literally had nurses assigned to just him, he had leads for his heart monitoring, incredible monitoring etc etc. when I rushed him into the vet, they immediately intubated/emptied his stomach and restarted his heart w cpr and epinephrine, all while giving him breaths until he breathed on his own etc. He had food bloat which is not to be confused with gastric bloat but literally bloat from just food and air in his stomach that put so much pressure on his heart and lungs that it literally stopped his heart. It’s a major emergency I didn’t even know about. So I tell everyone now about it. Anyways now he’s back home with no issues even better than before possibly! The vet I went to if you’re reading this fromMon South Florida was advanced veterinary care 24/7 ER in Davie FL and they have internist, oncologists, etc and they were incredible!!!! Anyways thank you again healthy paws!! I’m so glad I have coverage for Big Mike! I also have another dog w coverage and I think I have a multi pet discount which is Healthy paws has been amazing!!! Prudent Pet Trustpilot Review
I had my 12-year-old Yorkie baby, Lola, insured with Prudent Pet in May 2025. Seven months later, she passed away in November 2025. My father and aunt had passed away two months prior, and I was completely devastated. It was one of the worst times of my life. The last thing any pet parent wants to deal with is worrying about how much the after-hours emergency vet bill is going to be, and whether the claim will be approved, while knowing your fur baby has to be put down. I called Prudent Pet in tears, and they made the claims process very easy for me. I was so worried about the cost because I was staying at VEG, a 24/7 emergency vet facility that allows you to sleep overnight with your sick pet. I called Prudent Pet while I was still there, worrying about the cost of staying for two nights at VEG, and explained what was happening with Lola. They assured me that my policy would take care of 90% of Lola’s covered expenses while I was at the hospital. After I came home, after losing my baby, I called Prudent Pet again, still crying, and they handled everything for me. They helped by contacting VEG and getting the paperwork they needed for me, because I could not physically or emotionally handle it at that time. They were caring and compassionate. I did not get the name of the person who helped me, but thank you so much. I received the check for the claim the following week. There was nothing I had to do other than grieve Lola, my dad, and my aunt, who was also my godmother. I’m still grieving Lola, but I am considering another fur child when the time is right. There is no doubt in my mind that I will choose Prudent Pet Insurance again. When I signed up with Prudent Pet last year, there were almost no bad reviews on Trustpilot, so I was very surprised when I read some of the latest one- and two-star reviews. I wondered if Prudent Pet had gone down in quality, which is important to me because I want to make sure I choose the right insurance for a future fur child. Many of the reviews mention not receiving documents, which is so strange to me because when I signed up, I was sent a text with my policy details and status, and I was told the documents would be emailed to me. All of my documents were also available in the patient portal, so the reviews asking, “Where are my documents?” did not make sense based on my experience. Regarding the person who complained about not liking the sample policy, I do not know her exact situation. However, I was also concerned about whether the sample policy applied in Texas when I first researched Prudent Pet, and Andreaa from Prudent Pet was happy to send me the Texas state amendatory endorsement. I also will not forget Rebecca from sales, who sold me the policy. She was wonderful. She actually has dogs herself and understood my needs for Lola when helping me choose the best policy. When I’m ready for a new policy one day, I will look for Rebecca to sign me up again. I’m writing this review to say that I highly recommend Prudent Pet because I had the best experience at the worst time, with all the deaths in my family. At one of the most vulnerable and terrible times of my life, Prudent Pet had my back and supported me all the way.

Extremely helpful and stress-relieving!
Extremely helpful and stress-relieving! We have had ASPCA's pet insurance for years, and it's been great knowing that any unexpected health problems and regular preventative care screenings are covered. When our newest kitten developed FIP at 9 months old, we got him the best care we could, knowing we had insurance to help us offset the expensive treatments. Our kitten is now a 2 year old cat and he's been given a clean bill of health. We wouldn't have been able to afford his treatment without our ASPCA insurance.
