Nationwide pet insurance has the lengthiest claim processing to obtain payment once I hit my deductible.
I'm not happy with Nationwide pet insurance due to the length of time it takes to obtain payment for a claim. I have been waiting payment still for a claim that I filed since February. Also, I just realized that I do not get the 90% reimbursement for the claims and when I finally look up the reason, it is not only difficult to find, but it would state that I'm missing a diagnosis, even though I've included the diagnosis on the cover of the claim form and the claim was partially processed. I even had our pet pharmacy call to provide Nationwide with a standing order, verified with Nationwide that they spoke to the pharmacy, and still no payment. The only statement I receive is that it's still being processed. This claim is from February! I even spoken to customer service regarding that claims cannot be processed without a diagnosis (which I've included in the fax forms), and still the EOB state that they still need a diagnosis to obtain the remainder of the 90% payment? It seems ever since we hit our deductible, the claim process with Nationwide has been sketchy. As a result, I am currently looking for a different pet insurer and would never recommend Nationwide pet insurance to anyone.

Coverage for my pet.
I had three dogs previously and did not have pet insurance. Those dogs had numerous health issues and I told myself that when I adopted new dogs I would look into pet insurance. Am I glad I did! Nationwide has been phenomenal with their coverage! .i like the fact that I can call customer service and ask questions about my insurance policy. My dog recently tore his ACL and Nationwide covered 3/4 of the cost of his total surgery. I have been very pleased with my insurance policy and I would recommend nationwide to anyone for their pet insurance needs. *** I would love to take a pic and write something for your website!!**

Pleased with experience
Having lost two previous pets to cancer we insured our new Misha with Trupanion. Much to our dismay, at the age of three months she suffered acute kidney failure and we had to give her up. Easing some of the pain of our loss, Trupanion paid our claim promptly and with condolence for our loss. We will not be without Trupanion on any future pet we may have.

I love this insurance policy for my pets and everytime I go to my vets office I tell folks in the waiting room about Nationwide
I am a health insurance broker and I totally believe everyone should have health insurance. I don't have children my pets are my kids and I want them to have the best care possible to live a long and healthy life. I started looking for insurance plans when a friend of mine recommended I check out Nationwide. I cannot tell you how relieved I am to know my pets are covered for their health. I just recently rescued a Catahoula Leopard dog Bella. Mind you when working with a rescue you are under the radar on how well you care for your pets. Nothing wrong with this because of course they want to place these pets in loving homes. When I told the rescue my other Catahoula Leopard dog Buster was insured for his health by Nationwide she was extremely pleased and wished everyone would do this with their pets. Whenever I visit my vets office I tell everyone how great this plan is. I highly recommend the Whole Pet With Wellness Plan because as I said earlier my pets are my kids. I especially love how quickly the response to my claims and how nice everyone is when I call with a question. Thanks Nationwide, I will be sure to tell all my clients who have pets the importance of insuring them and they should call Nationwide :)
