Great customer service - easy claims process
I've had insurance for my dog (with wellness) since last September. I was a bit worried at first, since the reviews were a bit mixed. But honestly Nationwide pet insurance has been fantastic. Customer service has answered every question I had. I'm particularly impressed with how easily and quickly claims can be submitted and paid. Nationwide says they process claims in about 30 days, but my claims have gotten processed in 1-2 weeks, and payment not long after. They've been great so far!

Nationwide Insurance has enabled us to care for our beloved Sunny, without having the additional worry of depleting our finances
When Sunny first started limping, we thought he had a cracked pad. I was able to call the Vet help line at 6:00 in the morning, and get advice on how to treat. When he continued to limp, we took him to his vet for treatment. After several visits, he unfortunately requires surgery on his shoulder which will take place tomorrow. I'm so thankful for Nationwide Insurance for promptly processing our claims for Sunny, and for ensuring that we can focus on helping him get better, instead of worrying how we could possibly pay for his treatment. Thank you Nationwide.

Always A Great Experience!
I have two senior pugs each having their own health issues. Sometimes unexpected trips to the vet are necessary and of course their prescription food and meds are an important part of their daily life. I have learned from past experience that having pet insurance on our pets is a must. Yes, it is expensive. Yes, insurance is a risk. You may never use it, or you may use it a lot. Just like humans, you need to weigh the pros and cons. Our experience with Nationwide has been exceptional. Our claims are confirmed no later than the next day, depending on when we submit them. They let us know when they have been processed and we receive our reimbursements very quickly. Can't really comment on Customer Service as everything has gone so smoothly for 11-1/2 years we have only needed to contact them a couple of times and our questions have always been answered quickly by a real live person. We are very happy with the quick processing of our claims and am thankful we have Nationwide as I'm not sure what would happen if I couldn't afford their medical bills now that they are older. Thank you!

Great Improvement in Service
We've had Pet Insurance on our canine family member since she came to us more than 4 years ago. Nationwide's customer service has improved a lot since we began as customers. The claims process is much easier using the app and paying claims has gotten so much quicker. If payment was made within 30 days when we started, it was a surprise. Our last claim took about 10 days until payment was received. The one issue surrounds using a third party, Chase, to facilitate payments. Including that company adds a couple of days to the process.

Great Support
I am very grateful for Nationwide. They have been there for me as support for all my animals. I recently lost one of my dogs and they helped me up to his transition. I highly recommend this insurance. They will work with you. My other dog needed surgery and I didn't have the money up front and they paid the provider directly, otherwise my dog would have died. I truly appreciate Nationwide.

All I can say is “wow”. I am so thankful that we invested in our pets health by purchasing Nationwide Pet Insurance. We ended up having an unexpected surgery this year, and it was great to know that the last thing we needed to worry about was paying for the surgery - we could focus on making sure our puppy healed happy and healthy! I highly, highly recommend investing in your pet’s health. Having pet insurance, especially through Nationwide, has been wonderful. The claims are incredibly easy to submit. Even when a claim has to be reviewed, the Nationwide team is “on top” of staying in touch to make sure you know where the process of the claim is.

GREAT SERVICE
We have a 5 mo Newfoundland pup. She went in for a wellness check, getting her rabies, etc. We filed a claim for her wellness visit. The submission was so smooth. We received an email the next business day to say they received it and were processing it. We could easily log onto our account and see the progress. Once the claim was complete, the explanation of benefits was so thorough, we never questioned anything because we had all the information we needed. The claim check was sent electronically. Seriously, the best investment is Pet Insurance and Nationwide knocks it out of the park! We hope we never have to use it for emergency purposes but knowing we have it is serious peace of mind!
