Claims need to process faster but overall I'm happy!
I wish you all would help with pre existing things such as the cherry eye. My pup had the surgery down 4 times before it was successful. And I had to pay twice and it was a pretty penny.

Trupanion has always provided excellent service.
I purchased insurance for all three of our dogs, and they have went above and beyond in times of crisis to call and reassure us,. They have been upfront and honest about the coverage, and we sure are thankful that we purchased the insurance. I would recommend that everyone who gets a new pet, purchase the insurance.

It was incredibly efficient
It was incredibly efficient and easy to submit my claim online. The claim process itself along with receiving my reimbursement cheque was amazingly fast.

So far so good
I have to pay at least 3 months of premiums before I can be advised if my 5 pets pass the “ paw print” for approval. That’s $1000.00 out of my pocket before I’m told anything. Had my first insurance claim with Trupanion and everything had to be appealed. Still waiting in appeals. Spent hours on the phone with vet office and Trupanion. Very time consuming. Not the easy peasy process that I was advised it would be. I’ve asked for the paw print to be expedited. I don’t feel comfortable that I’m paying money and not sure what the coverage is or if there is any coverage. I called to have 1 pet insured and ended up with having all 5 pets insured after talking with the representative. I’m glad I got all 5 pets insured as we’ve had no health issues. I just hope I get a confirmed insurance policy sooner than later.

Trupanion is AMAZING!
Claims are paid quickly, customer service is wonderful, representatives are so kind and patient when you are dealing with the stress of an ill pet. Policy is above and beyond the others with no per incident or lifetime caps, and much broader coverage available, including complementary (holistic type) care and behavioral...which most pet insurers do not. Trupanion also allows you to choose your deductible, making it possible to afford coverage for multiple pets! Because of the flexibility and options available through Trupanion, I have been able to afford health insurance for four dogs and a cat.

it reimburses the most
Because it reimburses the most expensive and drastic medical problems for cats, and has no limits per condition, and the customer service representatives are very nice and understanding, though for some reason for one of my cats the claims adjusters work very slowly, though they work quickly for the other one.

Mostly happy
I am just finding that the premiums are really very high. Otherwise, I am very happy with my experience with Trupanion except that when an animal has a problem, they have to go in for an office visit. I don t understand why these are not covered when it is not just a regular office visit.
