Very Grateful we had insurance
My 3 1/2 year old golden retriever unexpectedly became very sick. Vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, lethargy I was very concerned to say the least. It took awhile and numerous tests to figure out what was going on, but we got through it. To top it off, he was gaining weight in spite of monitoring his diet. Turned out he is hypothyroid. Fortunatley, Nationwide covered his medical expenses per our policy very promptly and he is back on track. He is acting like a puppy again, wagging his tail all the time, more alert and playing with his toys. Makes my heart smile! Thank you Nationwide.

Nationwide is Tops!
Having an English Bulldog comes the constant worrying and many trips to the vet. Thanks to Nationwide I breath a lot easier knowing they stand beside us and make those trips easier. Nationwide has been by far the best pet insurance out there. Thank you!

Peace of Mind!
I am so glad I insured my two cats with you. It makes going to the vet so much less stressful, knowing that the tests/treatments that may be recommended, which in one of my cat's instances often includes an overnight stay; are covered. With the well visit included in our policy; it really only takes one sick visit to hit our deductible for the year. With our one cat in particular, I just never know when he's going to need to be seen and it's usually a complex diagnosis that takes a lot of tests so the insurance has been worth every penny.

Great company to be insured by. Peach of mind for my pets and me.
My pets have been insured by Pets Best for about 5 years now. They are a great company! Whenever I submit a claim either by my vet or by me faxing it in myself, the money for the claim goes straight into my checking account. I have found them to take care of all my claims easily and swiftly.

Quick processing, excellent coverage
The stressful situation of unexpected and expensive disc surgery was eased by getting a preauthorization that day and knowing all would be covered. The claim(s) was processed within a week and we received the check in less than 2! Also had to know our renewed ooicyvwi cover dental illness up to $1000 which was missing in past years. Annual visit plus some minor miscellaneous issues that required medications
Nationwide offers a variety of plans for every pet parent. I have owned dogs my entire life, and some of my pets have had some serious illnesses later in their lives, so pet insurance is a must for my needs. The top level plan at Nationwide is worth the cost and I would rather be safe than sorry having experienced how expensive treatment can be for an elderly pet with a serious illness if you do not have insurance. I now have a new puppy and opted for the best coverage from the get go for prevention and potential future medical issues as pets age. Though this is by no means a major issue, every company can always improve something. I would like to see an improvement in the time to process claims. Presently, my claim experience is about 3 weeks, give or take a few days either way. This current claim is still in process, so my response below is based on previous claims.

Prompt assistance without feeling rushed through protocol
I just recently made my first large scale claim with Trupanion last week when my 15 mos old puppy needed immediate surgery. The associate we spoke with, Tracy, was quick to help us have our claim transferred to pre-approval and assured me that we’d be helped right away. She was right! We got the news we needed, hearing that 90% of the costs would be covered, right away. Truthfully, all of our calls and interactions with Trupanion staff have been hassle free, friendly, and I really felt like we were being taken care of. I bought insurance for peace of mind but it’s proven to be worth much more than that.
