Excellent experience from beginning to end. From my first questions to finalizing coverage for my three cats, the team was courteous, professional, and genuinely helpful. They explained everything in an easy-to-follow way and walked me through coverage and deductible options that kept me comfortably within my budget. My pets aren’t just animals — they’re family. Nothing in this world is perfect. We have faith in MetLife and it's coverages. MetLife pet insurance is one of the best, if not THE best, health insurance policy available. They are very good at paying claims in a reasonable time frame.

Trupanion Was A Life Saver
For eight years I had been paying premiums, at times, joking that it was really a donation because our Ginger was so healthy. In an instant, all that changed as she was confronted with constant nauseousness, loss of appetite and lethargy. Ultimately this mysterious and sudden illnes led us to: a 3am trip to an Emergency Vet Clinic, a follow up with or Vet, another unplanned trip to our Vet followed by a trip to the local Animal Hospital with a skilled surgical team. We are retired and living on a fixed income. We would not have wanted to make a life or death decision based on income constraints but that would have been our reality if not for Trupanion. Our Ginger got the surgery required to remove her gallbaldder and a cluster of stones that were causing her illness and threatening her life. She is now back at home with us recovering. Trupanion and Fetch Animal Hospital saved her life. We aren't out of the woods yet but none of this would have been possible without the funds from our Trupanion policy.

Beware!
Unless you are insuring a puppy with absolutely no health issues, Figo will deny every claim by stating there is a pre existing condition. I had a rescue dog that I did not know any of her health history. She had a little arthritis, controlled with Carprofen. I learned of a small heart murmur on her first vet visit, she was fine for a year, suddenly developed congestive heart failure, had an emergency vet visit that cost several thousands of dollars. Figo somehow found her old records from the rescue organization that I had never seen and denied every single vet appointment and the emergency vet bill stating all were pre existing conditions. When I called them from the emergency vet they said they would cover 70%. I spent $50 a month for a premium that was completely useless. This company is a scam. Be very careful.

Honestly
Honestly, I have been SO happy with MetLife pet insurance. Reasonable premiums, easy claims, excellent coverage options, and super fast payouts. I've never had to appeal any decisions or fight for what I was paying for. They straight up just do what they say they're going to do and pay what they promise when you sign up. Hopefully I'll be with them for a long time.
