I have never purchase pet insurance…
I have never purchased pet insurance in the past for any of our pets. When we chose MetLife to insure our New Australian Shehpherd puppy, we found the process to be very straightforward. Submitting claims is incredibly easy through the app and reimbursement has been received within just a few short days after claim submission. We are so glad that we signed up for this plan for our puppy and especially appreciate the coverage for preventative care.

We have been with Trupanion for over…
We have been with Trupanion for over ten years and they have been awesome! We have had some serious health issues with our fur babies and the fact that Trupanion is in our corner has helped us get through some very tough times, thank you Trupanion!

I like that you offer pet insurance
I like that you offer pet insurance. I have had the experience of not being able to afford an unexpected but needed expense for my pets. The representative was knowledgeable and found a plan that fit my needs. I do wish that she could have directed me to an online site so we could both visualize the material together instead of just verbally explaining it to me.

Claims aren't paid, calls aren't returned
I'm wondering what is going on here? PETS BEST used to be a great company and I referred them to everyone I knew. NOW???? I have had claims sitting and waiting for a month with no action. And SEVERAL of them are sitting with no action. Also, I've called about a couple of other questions I had and was told that I would get a call back--never got one back either time. Customer service is really really terrible right now. Oh, and I think I forgot to mention I sat on the line the other day for 20 minutes waiting for someone to even answer. This is really disappointing and frustrating.
Timeliness of claims was outstanding.

First time filing claims
Things were difficult at first as I was having trouble navigating submitting claims online. I tried calling a couple of times but the wait time was unrealistic, over 30 minutes, so I gave up on that. Ultimately, the claims were processed, and I'm satisfied with the outcome. I plan to stay with Pet's best and would also recommend Pets Best to my friends and family. Not

Used to be better, not great any longer
Pets best used to be decent insurance, I've had them for years. Recently however customer service has been unavailable, by phone only, taking over 30 minutes to contact someone who cant resolve your problem. The website has been down for months with no access through the app either. Account was locked don't an durable to fix through customer service. Unable to place claims, even though they deducted my premiums with no problem. Used to be a better service, very dissapointed .

Pet insurance
Pets best has been absolutely amazing in covering our claims. My dog has an aggressive cancer and they have covered everything no questions asked. Honestly they will never know how much of a blessing they have been during such a terribly difficult time. The grief is unbearable at times but knowing they have been so good at covering everything he needs gives me peace of mind. Forever grateful for this company and the time they have given me with Brody!
I called to cancel my insurance as I…
I called to cancel my insurance as I felt I had a better offer at another insurance. The person I talked to, it felt like she was very irritated I was canceling and talked down to me about my decision. I wasn’t changing because of anything Nationwide did, I only initially chose nationwide because they were part of my employee benefits when I became an employee of my shelter (I had another company before them). But my shelter partnered with a different company that explained everything they offered, including a partner discount, (something nationwide never tried to explain until today, when I cancelled, and I was made to feel dumb for not knowing benefits that were never attempted to explain to me). I also don’t understand why my first cat was never given a “wellness plan” option, but my newest cat was, and his coverage with a wellness plan was cheaper than my other cat’s without wellness. But I was afraid asking that question on the phone with the representative would open up more judgement and condescension, instead of understanding and compassion. I was just ready at this point to get off the phone with this individual.
