Life-saving coverage
My dog was having repeated episodes of respiratory arrest, and would have died that day without intensive in-hospital care and pricy specialized surgery. I was able to get him the help he needed with the help of VetDirect pre-approval, which processed in real time within a few minutes. There was no panic of whether I could raise funds while he was struggling to survive. It's a week later, and he's not just surviving but thriving.

Skyrocketing premiums
They state they don't raise rates for claims, but my premium has tripled over several years. I reduced coverage from 70 to 60% recently because of cost, changed my mind, called back the SAME DAY and they won't allow 70, 80, or 90% coverage anymore. When you ask them why you just get nonsense answers with no evidence such as "rising veterinarian costs, local rates". They have corrupt business practices and then you're stuck with them.

The service I have received over the past several years has been excellent! Great communication and customer service. However, I feel that the premium rates have skyrocketed to the point where I'm paying a whole lot more and getting a whole lot less. Monthly premium went from around $160 to over $240!! There have been no big claims at all! I had no choice but to cancel.

Pumpkin Insurance is a joke
Pumpkin Insurance is a joke! They used a single bought of loose stool my puppy had after his vaccines as a reason to deny his emergency bowl obstruction. They labeled it a "preexisting condition." Are you kidding me? They were charging me almost a hundred a month to cover absolutely nothing. Why even bother if I am just going to end up paying out of pocket anyway? Don't be conned by them. They are just as heartless and money grubbing as every other insurance company. They don't care about you or your pets wellbeing. This is about the bottom line and if they can find a loop hole to deny you, they will!

Very difficult and cumber son to submit my first reimbursement request. Phone call to your folks was not much help. Once I figured out how to submit a reimbursement payment was received within a few days.
