I have had healthy paws since 2013 for my dog. Only minor claims and my premiums have always been more than I get back in claims but having the piece of mind of having insurance in case of something catastrophic was nice. Initially my dogs premium was $35. However the last 6 years the premium went up 130%, so that at 11 years old it was $220 a month. Now when he turned 12 Healthy paws increased my deductible from $100 to $500 and payout rate from 90% to 70% without warning. Customer service does not care and seems outsourced. This company is predatory and unethical and I would like to warn anyone who is thinking about pet insurance to go with another provider. Avoid Healthy Paws at all costs.

Jorgees health care
Pets plus us have been fantastic to date in helping me pay for Jorgee's medical expenses. They’ve covered a huge chunk of his expenses without question, including multiple blood tests and lab work, a CT scan, vet exams and a consultation and surgery with an internal medicine specialist. His expenses have been in excess of $8000.00 and I would have had a lot of trouble paying for this on my own. I’ve received back over $7200.00 reimbursement so far and I’m really happy I chose to insure him with Pets plus us. It’s such a nice feeling to know that whatever comes up in the future, Jorgee will get the vet care he needs and I won’t have to make a choice based on whether I can afford it or not. I’m able to budget the insurance payments and know he’ll be taken care of. Thank you Pets Plus Us!

I hate to do this but...
Hate to have to give this rating but I have to. I have been with embrace for about 4 years. I received the quote for next year and my jaw dropped. I understand as a pet ages the cost for renewal goes up. It works the same way with humans. Every year it would go up around $100-200 but not this time. I paid about $700ish for all of 2025 and next year is about $1300ish. Almost double, this is insane. It was this year that I discovered he has Cushing's Disease and gallbladder sludge, what a coincidence. I believe this is deceptive practice because in "pet insurance" world, if your pet has a pre-existing condition, you can't just up and leave to another insurance. I feel this is how they trap you because they know that you do not have the freedom to just up and leave. Now you just have to settle on the exorbitant price increases. They will hit you with this copy/paste message " Embrace evaluates our premium increases annually based on our entire book of business focusing on several factors, including the age of the insured pet(s), the tenure of the policy and also factoring in veterinary inflation. This includes not only rising veterinary costs but also the recent advances we are seeing in veterinary care. We strive to find a balance in maintaining quality coverage for the pets that we insure, while also factoring in changes in the marketplace." This is just an excuse to lighten the blow to you. I reiterate, the reality is if your pet develops a condition under their policy, they see it as free reign to double, triple, quadruple your renewal because no other insurance will take you now. Be careful. I will be challenging this.

Totally worth the monthly cost
Claims are easy to submit, get processed, and refunded. Although the monthly payment goes up the moment your pets have a costly emergency, it is still worth the cost.

ASPCA website is easy to navigate.
ASPCA website is easy to navigate and sign up for different Coverages. I have had one Cat for five years with the company and they have been great on the reoccurring cost of an ear infection!! Monthly payments are minimal. I just adopted a four month old Kitten and just enrolled her on a new plan.
