We’ve used them for years for our two dogs. It’s been pricey, but worthwhile for us. We’ve used it for numerous ER visits and surgeries with quick turnaround times.

Embrace worked for purpose purchased
While the cost of the insurance is probably too high - It is probably too profitable for the company; the purpose of preventing a catastrophic expense with out pet worked well. Embrace did what was promised. The on the phone staff support regarding claims was great.

I’ve used Trupanion for years
I’ve used Trupanion for years. I’m satisfied, but the policy of deducting for each visit with similar symptoms is troubling. My sweet dog had been seen by multiple vets and generally treated with the same modality. I’m appealing this issue. My fault I didn’t know Trupanion partnered with Blue Pearl. They ran tests and I received a diagnosis, unfortunately not one I was ready for. Read your policy well. You may have benefits you weren’t aware of. My regret.

I can’t say enough how wonderful Embrace Pet insurance is I was with a different company for many many many years and I’m kicking myself for not going over to Embrace years ago. They have the quickest turnaround. They don’t hold up your claim for anything if you have all the documentation they send it right out no hassle. My only regret is that I never joined them years ago. I’m telling you if you’re on the fence and you’re debating about which insurance company to go to please give Embrace a try.

Absolutely the worst company known to…
Absolutely the worst company known to man My boy had business insurance with them, he filled all the forms in right when signing up. He got hit on the hyway and they canceled his insurance saying he was doing door dash. He runs a pool company, door dash with pumps and power washers in the back of the truck ? They wouldn’t cover any wrecked equipment, it was all destroyed. They are horrible to deal with and don’t want to pay what the vehicle is worth.

AVOID Healthy Paws
I am not one who typically writes review, however, I feel a need to do so to protect consumers from Healthy Paws. We have been a Healthy Paws customer for years. Our monthly premium started at $35/month, then went to $50/month, then $112/month, and yesterday we were advised that it was now going to be $248/month. We have had no claims in all of the years that we have been with them and thus, we called them to have them explain the premium increase (which represents a 112% increase in only 1-year). When we talked with customer service, they indicated a. the cost of veterinary services have increased over the past year, b. the overall number of claims in CA increased, and c. my dog is older (yes, like previous years he is 1-year older). I have the feeling that Healthy Paws knows that once you sign up with them, you are not likely to switch due to waiting periods and given this, they feel they can charge whatever they want at each renewal. Based on this, we dropped Healthy Paws and went with another recognized provided at less than half the cost, with a higher company reimbursement % on claims (90% vs 60% with Healthy Paws) and lower deductible ($750 vs $1,000 with Healthy Paws). I stronger advise anyone considering Healthy Paws to RECONSIDER - Healthy Paws might appear to have a lower initial premium, however over the life of the policy, I assure you their cost with be significantly higher. Do not get lured into their predatory pricing policy. To all those who rated Happy Paws 4-stars, please read all of the 1-star reviews for unfortunately, you are going to be facing the same situation in the near future. To those that are reading these reviews to try to determine whether you should go with Happy Paws, I hope all of these 1-star reviews will provide you the information you need to make an informed decision, to go with someone else. SUBSEQUENT NOTE: In response to my post, Healthy Paws commented below that they would welcome a call from me to discuss my comments. I would note that prior to me posting my review, I did talk with a customer service representative who simply said that rates have gone up due to increased cost of veterinary services (to me, it seemed like they were reading off a script) and then when I talked with a supervisor, they were also reading off the same script and had absolutely nothing to offer nor did they care that we had been with them for 11 years. Thus I stand by my review - AVOID Heathy Paws, their predatory pricing, and their complete disregard for customer loyalty. If I could give them less than 1-star, I would.
