Highly Recommend without question!!
Trupanion was recommended by our original breeder and I’m glad we continued the coverage. Trupanion makes it super simple for you and or your veterinarian to access the website to file a claim if necessary. Hands down, best customer service & affordable coverage plans for your pet family member.

Family with five dogs utilizes Nationwide Pet Insurance
Our family has used Nationwide insurance for years. All five of our dogs are insured under the pet insurance program at Nationwide.. We have compared prices and they still are lower and offer more benefits than the other insurance companies.

Easy to Submit claims & Great Customer Service
Easy to Submit claims and they really helped out when our 8 month old puppy needed emergency surgery. They cover what they say they cover and it has been a pleasure to know their insurance is there for peace of mind and know our puppies will be taken care of without breaking the bank if they have an emergency! Would recommend to everyone!

The process of registering our Samoyed…
The process of registering our Samoyed puppies with Figo Pet Insurance was extremely easy. As expected, enrollment is very smooth—they are clearly set up to make purchasing insurance simple and efficient. Our premium was approximately $300 per month for both puppies, which we felt was reasonable given their value and status as show dogs. After enrollment, there was a standard waiting period of about two weeks before coverage became active. This is when the issues began. Our puppies were only 10 weeks old at the time—very healthy, well-bred show dogs receiving excellent care. During a routine check, we found a tick. Although it was not embedded, we acted cautiously due to their status and had them evaluated. The tick itself tested positive for Lyme disease (not the puppy). Based on veterinary guidance and out of an abundance of caution, we proceeded with a two-week course of doxycycline. We submitted a claim, and initially, the process seemed straightforward. However, when I followed up two weeks later, I was informed that claims processing takes 6 to 8 weeks, which I was told is standard for the company. This is where the concern lies. When you are paying over $300 per month, you expect timely support—especially in situations that could escalate. Veterinary emergencies can range anywhere from $1,000 to over $20,000. Many families do not have immediate access to that level of cash. A reimbursement model that takes 6–8 weeks creates significant financial strain and risk. Fortunately, we have the resources to cover unexpected costs, but many pet owners do not. In a true emergency, waiting weeks for reimbursement is simply not practical. For this reason, I strongly encourage anyone with high-value or show dogs to carefully evaluate their insurance options. We ultimately considered switching to Trupanion. While it is more expensive (our premium increased to approximately $650 per month for 90% coverage with a $200 deductible), their model is fundamentally different. In many cases, they can pay the veterinarian directly at the time of service, which eliminates the need for large out-of-pocket expenses upfront. Bottom line: Figo Pet Insurance is easy to enroll in and competitively priced, but the extended claims processing time is a significant drawback—particularly for owners of high-end or show dogs where rapid access to care and financial flexibility are critical. Before choosing pet insurance, take the time to understand not just the cost, but how and when claims are actually paid. It can make a major difference when it matters most.

Don’t waste your time/money,useless & combative!
Trupanion is totally useless. For a rescue, they deny claim for any & all Vet visits.Any health issues were deemed “pre-existing” because of “rescue.” Bottom line? They charge monthly & literally covered zero. Also customer service? Combative, when questions were asked.DO NOT Recommend, Under Any Circumstances!I would give NEGATIVE STARS rating, if that were possible!☹️😡

I have been with Embrace since Jasper…
I have been with Embrace since Jasper was 3 months old, he is now 7. We have had a 2 claims, both were paid quickly and no question on them. From typical puppy antics to a recent very serious unexpected back surgery both were a breeze to file and get reimbursed on. I have a moderate deductible and a cap of $8000. It did go up after this last claim but he is getting older and the customer service person worked with me to get the renewal down. I used to have wellness on this policy as I believe in preventive care but It was really not worth it in my opinion. Glad we had this policy for this last unexpected emergency.
