Worst customer service I have ever dealt with.
This company only cares about the money. They lure you in with a low premium and then drastically increase them every year. They were the subject of a lawsuit for increasing premiums without notice. Their customer service for existing customers is someone from the Philippines who speaks very broken English. I could not understand what she was saying and sent emails asking that someone I could understand please call me and no one ever did. Finally I called and chose the option for wanting to purchase pet insurance (not existing customer) and surprisingly I got someone that spoke very good English. I would look elsewhere when choosing pet insurance.

Efficient claim process
The process to submit the claim for the services received for my dog has been efficient, easy to upload receipts online and fast response on the status as well as direct payment to my account. The explanation of benefits covered is clear, although would like to see a higher amount for coverage under the wellness plan given the cost of the quarterly insurance payment, specially for healthy dogs that are current with all of their vaccinations. Other than that PetsBest has been great!

Reliable, fast, quiet, and frictionless Honestly, when your pet is healthy, you don't want to hear from your pet insurance. When your pet is sick, you only want them to hold their end of the contract and pay for what's agreed upon. When our cat Cassie died after a battle with aggressive cancer, Healthy Paws went through all the claims and medical history without any friction and paid what they had to pay (about $16,000 in total). They did send condolences (an auto-generated email, of course), but that's not going to matter when you're heartbroken. What did matter was the comfort of knowing we didn't have to skip Cassie's treatment out of financial burden. When it was time to say goodbye to her, we did it with her end-of-life comfort in mind, not out of financial stress.

Pets Best has been wonderful for our family. It has helped us not think twice to take our dog to the vet or ER when needed and it has saved us so much money! While their website does randomly crash from time to time, it is very easy to use and the payments are quick and direct deposit. Couldn't recommend more!
