My husband and I have been very happy with Spot Insurance for our dog. Every claim has been processed timely and accurately in relation to the policy we purchased. The claim submission process is easy with bills and office notes uploaded online with no difficulties and payment received in a timely manner!

I was impressed with how quickly I got a response when I first called. I was emailed promptly and when I had questions, I got answers almost immediately. My experience with Trupanion was good
My experience with Trupanion was good. Although my regular vet immediately excepts Trupanion for the bill, I had to take my dog to a new veterinarian as I couldn't get an apt there. I submitted the bill to them electronically and they paid their share very quickly.

Dumbest policy ever....
I will keep writing bad reviews because of the stupid policies they have. My dog was taken off of another policy I paid for,for 5 years. When my ex and I split up we separated our dogs into two separate policies. She added her credit card to begin paying for "her" dog. Trupanion owed me a significant credit. They gave my credit to my ex on her credit card..... When I questioned it and pointed out thier mistake, they said it was thier policy to credit her card and not mine.... so again, I paid with my card for five years.... she newly adds her card and received my credit. They will not do anything about it. To them this makes sense..... I will keep writing bad reviews until my dog passes and I'm through with them or until they admit thier mistake and credit me back my money. They want me to reachout to them. They already made it perfectly clear they will not do anything about it. Why they want me to call them is beyond me. They will only support their stupidity and make me angrier then I already am.

Trupanion took away the stress of an additional financial burden and allowed us to focus on what truly mattered the most, making sure our baby got the care he needed and was able to come home to us healthy. I've long been a believer in Pet Insurance, but our experience this past weekend made a firm believer out of my husband as well. Our emergency vet was able to submit the claims to insurance before payments were made on our end. This allowed us to just pay our co-insurance. Trupanion also pre-approved the entire deposit that was necessary for our boy to receive his care. We were able to leave him with the best team without paying a dime of the deposit. It made what was already a terrifying and dreadful experience just a little bit easier to weather. Thank you Trupanion!

Considering other insurance now
I usually appreciate the promptness in reimbursement, but this last time came with issues. For whatever reason, a paper check was issued instead of the usual Zelle method. It was impossible to contact customer service over the phone and an email attempt resulted in a similar dead end. Not sure what I’m paying for now.
