The one bright spot in a very bad time....
ASPCA insurance has provided me with great coverage and amazing customer service, especially this past month. Within the span on 2 weeks we found out one of our kittens Lily had feline leukemia, had to hospitalize her, and unfortunately had to put her to sleep. Lily was my first cat and I was a wreck during the hole process. I ended up spending the day I'd taken off from work (to grieve) working through all of her final medical bills and submitting claims. When I called ASPCA to have Lily's coverage stopped they were incredibly helpful. The first thing I heard was how sorry they were for my loss and them asking if I was ok. I couldn't believe how quickly they took care of stopping Lily's coverage (you figure since you're dealing with an insurance company the process may be a bit difficult) and I even saw a refund for the current month's fees within the week even though I hadn't even remembered to ask about it. A few days later these a representative gave me a call just to see how I was doing with everything and to offer her condolences and now (almost a month later) I even received a condolences card in the mail. Needless to say I am very happy with these guys. Shortly before all this happened I was considering whether I really needed to be shelling out money for something like this and to anyone else out there asking this question: yes, it is worth considering because you never expect something to happen, but if god forbid it does you'll be relieved to have these guys in your corner!

Great! But took FOREVER
Everything was covered that we expected and we eventually got our money back. But it took almost 6 months before we finally got the check in the mail. Multiple letters were mailed saying it was taking a long time and would be several more weeks. But overall I was very pleased with the service. Just took a while.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!!
My experience with Nationwide Pet Insurance was the best. You never know what to expect from your insurance until you need them. Our baby collided with a car and displaced his hip. After attempting to reinsert it, we ended up having to do an FHO. I filed both claims with NPI and they were paid with no issues. I have referred NPI to all my pet loving friends. I could not have asked for better customer service. Thanks NPI!!!

Trupanion is awesome!

Great insurance, slow reimbursement
I think Nationwide pet insurance is amazing. It's super easy to submit a claim and I never feel like I am being duped and taken advantage of. I always understand my reimbursement amount. However, I think the amount of time taken to process a claim and receive reimbursement is far too long. The last time I submitted, it took about a month to receive. Luckily, this was a small bill, but in the future it may be larger and have more of an impact on my finances. I would like to see this amount of time shortened. Otherwise, Nationwide is great!

Get Healthy Paws!
I cannot say enough great things about Healthy Paws. Our dog, Siggi, got really sick and having Healthy Paws insurance gave her access to the care that she needed that she otherwise would not have had. The claims process was straightforward and fast. I will continue using Healthy Paws and would recommend to anyone with a loved pet!
