So far, So good
So far we've been pleased with Nationwide Pet Insurance. Sometimes it takes longer then the advertised 30 days for a claim to process, but not always. We only had one claim that took over 90 days, submitting the same paperwork multiple times, and a few phone calls to resolve. We felt that Nationwide was trying to find a reason to deny the claim, looking for a per-existing condition that would enable them not to pay. None existed and they finally paid the claim.

Easy no gimics
Except for my $100 deductible, my claims are paid relatively quick and without a hassle. I love that there is a vet on call to discuss issues. Claims could be process a bit quicker is my only criticism.

Love The company
I love the company and what they stand for. One time Benji (my Shitzu/Poodle mix) got out on a Sunday when I didn’t realize it. I had just seen him minutes earlier. Trupanion called - it was so unusual to see Thor name on my caller ID. It was their service center calling because Benji got out and my neighbor got their number from his Trupanion collar tag. They said “You neighbor has Benji”. I was like “what no he’s with me- “ they said no, your neighbor called our hotline and has him. Sure enough I went outside and my neighbor had him. The whole thing took less than 5 mins. I love the peace of mind it gives me and was shocked that the service is there on Sunday and they really seemed to care.
