I wish my own health insurance was as easy as Trupanion is. Customer service upon set up was second to none. So friendly , knowledgeable , and personal. Upon set up I was hoping I would never have to need your services but I did and had zero concern of any cost to come from my pups health requirements. Direct billing and quick response with claims. The worry of ‘what if’s’ happening are gone. Love Trupanion!

We've absolutely loved having Nationwide Pet Insurance for our dog. He was rescued and the frist few months were a struggle figuring out stomahc issues, dental procecures, you name it. It was such reassurance to know that Nationwide would be able to help us cover the majority of the costs for every vet visit or proceudre and that we could get our dog the best care.

Highly recommend Healthy Paws!
We have had our 7 Brussels Griffons all on the Healthy Paws insurance for the last 3 years. The process to submit a claim online is beyond simple (takes about 2 minutes), and most claims are processed within just a couple days. Reimbursement is very quick too.. Recently 2 of our babies racked up hefty medical bills in the span of the same week. It was very comforting to know that Healthy Paws was there for us. Great customer service, and absolutely a fantastic value!

Chipped Canine...No Worries!
My boy Rocky chipped a canine and it became infected and needed root canal to save it. Without the coverage from Nationwide Insurance, the costs would have been a real hardship. I am full of gratitude for your service. Thank you!

Worst Company
I initially signed up for Trupanion as it was recommended by a trainer I spoke with.. their policy sounded good, however, Trupanion will do anything to get out of paying for a claim and deem something is pre existing. I had ongoing issues with Trupanion picking and choosing their words in their outcome letters making it sound the way THEY intended it to, versus being 100% factual. For example, I understood our puppy would be pre existing for a common parasite she got during the waiting period....I contacted trupanion to inquire how it would work moving forward-- as like humans, animals can have similar symptoms for different diagnoses... this was the case with our pup...we ended up taking her in to the vet-- and her initial symptoms were not pre existing....furthermore, nor was the diagnosis the Veterinarian gave her .. so I decided to appeal their decision... I spoke to.the Veterinarian thereafter and was informed that she made it VERY clear the claim I had submitted was unrelated to any previous visits... she was asked to clarify three times by the customer service rep... Shes a Veterinarian for goodness sake ! I would think her judgement would not be questioned multiple times... I understand the need for clarification but multiple times? Unprofessional. Hours later I received yet another denied claim....when I read the outcome letter-- it was disgusting... the words were picked and chosen through past medical records and dates that were not even pertinent to the claim ! To.ensure it sounded like it fit somewhere in preexisting.. disgraceful! I have no more energy to fight with an insurance company although I know their decision was not warranted and goes against anything I have read in their policy. Additionally, it doesnt make sense given the conversation I had with Trupanion when we called to inquire about what pre existing meant... now-- it's an umbrella term... as in, although our pup received a different diagnosis... because it was still "GI related" her new recent and never before diagnosis was denied. Perhaps I should have known better....insurance companies will take an individuals hard earned money and do anything not to pay out ! What a rip off! I am appauled at the shadyness of this "company".. perhaps in an emergency situation with emergency surgery they wouod be better... but I'm not willing to continue to spend my hard earned money with the chance of A MAYBE. shame on you Trupanion!
