Super easy claim system. Very satisfy with the fast claim response. No wonder they are called PETS BEST! They are the BEST doggy insurance out there!!! That's why they are called PETSBEST!

I was generally pleased
I was generally pleased. However, the medication my dog was prescribed was not covered/considered part of my deductible. I think this is odd, as the medication he was prescribed is a normal medication for his treatment.

We are going on our second year with Pets Best. Han Solo (Italian Greyhound) and I are very satisfied at how easy the claims process is and quickly we receive reimbursement for his annual wellness exams.

I went into policy knowing they do not do well visits which was fine with me! When my Maggie got really I’ll, she had alternative medicine acupuncture, chiropractic, and other stuff, after she passed I submitted all here sick visit bills from about 2014 to 2018 and they paid over $3000.00 for her illness ! So if you became a pet owner and can’t afford well visits , good dog food and shots this is not the right insurance, but if you need help when they are sick it’s terrific! I’m a firm believer in taking care of your pets but sometimes things can get really bad and expensive, then this is the best policy! I just reviewed Nationwide and many people complain about not getting re-imbursed and if they did the policy jump up significantly, not Trupanion, I highly recommend this company!

Efficient claims process
The claims process is directly billed through my vet’s office. Got a response from Trupanion in less than 5 minutes. I’ve submitted several claims on my 3 dogs; one of which is a GSD, and every time, everything outlined in the policy was covered-read the fine print folks and you won’t have any issues with the claims process.

BEST PET INSURANCE EVER!
I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance as the best on the market today! My dogs are covered for illness, injury, and wellness visits, and I get a whopping 90% back on every visit! The only things not covered are food and grooming! The insurance is somewhat pricy (for two Shih Tzus) but, so far, I have gotten a return on my policies and then some for each of the two years I've had it!

Great coverage - process a little slow
Very happy with my coverage. The claim process can be a little slow compared to Trupanion (my other dog's insurer). Usually takes 30-45 days to receive EOB.
