This pet insurance has saved us tons of money
We are so glad that we decided to get pet insurance for our 7 year old rescue dog. We've spent thousands of dollars on our dog in the last 8 months! and luckily our Hartville policy reimburses 90% of eligible costs after a $250 deductible. Two weeks after having him he started to limp and we've been to the vet 10+ times to x-ray him, diagnose him, see specialists and manage his pain meds. He's had a UTI, and yesterday got bit by a dog gone wild. You never know what can happen and we're so happy with Hartville's easy claim submittal process and payments. The first few payments took about 6 weeks but the rest have been approved and processes in as little as 2 weeks. My only complaint is that the web portal does not let me sign up for direct deposit so I have to wait for checks to be mailed to me.

Worth EVERY Cent!!
Chabubba has been insured since the first week we had her....she was rescued from a Humane League after her owner passed away. She has had 3 operations for tumors (2 were benign) but the 3rd was Mast Cell Cancer. Nationwide Insurance (VPI) has always covered her surgeries. Now that she is almost 11, we pay a bit more than we used to but she is worth it. What a piece of mind to know that a large medical expense is going to be reimbursed. Thank you, Nationwide!!!

Major coverage for an emergency
Our puppy got very sick very suddenly and we were very scared as first-time pet parents. We rushed him to the vet and he has been suffering from a parasite that significantly damaged his gastro system and that also caused pneumonia. Thankfully the animal hospital took care of everything but we were left with a hefty below above $1K. Worried about paying it and didnt expect insurance to cover a large chunk of it but when we learned that ASPCA covered actually more than 80% of it we were relieved. I was questioning whether a pet insurance was a right thing to buy but after this incident I was certain that we did the right thing with choosing ASPCA

Best insurance ever
I’m glad I have Charlie covered by Nationwide Pet Insurence. Even though it takes time, this insurance still covered our huge cost of Charlie’s surgery and PT. As well as whenever I need advise I can contact 24/7 service form Nationwide vet help line, before even going to the vet. I wish all pets to be healthy and don’t have problems like my Charlie does, but definitely I will recommend to get insurance with Nationwide company.

Easy and a no-brainer decision
Living in the Bay Area I am well acquainted with the high costs of keeping a pet healthy. I did a lot of research prior to choosing Healthy Paws and after also receiving a recommendation for them from a co-worker, I signed up in 2015. I am now so happy I did. Their plans are straight forward and don't have a lot of complicated schedules. No insurance covers the regular exam fees and routine care but for the major mishaps that can happen, they get my vote. Luna developed a heart murmur last year and Healthy Paws came through then covering diagnostics. This year we, unfortunately, had an accident on a walk and required surgery. The surgery was about $5500 and Healthy Paws covered 80% as outlined in the plan I chose. My return on investment has been amazing and you can't say that about too many things. They make submitting claims easy on their site and a few days later I can see the processed claim and the amount in direct deposited into my account. Smooth and simple. I have no complaints.

This is a great pet insurance. The only improvement I would suggest is to manage the claims faster. It takes a long time for you to get your money from a claim.

Healthy Paws is a Life Saver - Literally
When I first brought my little guy, Bear, home I opted to purchase a pet insurance policy on the advice of a friend. After a lot of research, I decided to enroll Bear with Healthy Paws as their reputation was outstanding (at the time - on paper). I remember thinking at the time that I’d likely rarely, if ever, have a reason to use the insurance, but I felt better being protected. Boy, was I wrong. Turns out, Bear likes to chew/destroy everything under the sun. We had spent so much time/money puppy-proofing our home, and yet, he still found things to get into. On two different occasions (in a two-month period of time), his bad habit had serious consequences and Bear required emergency veterinary care, an invasive abdominal surgery and several follow-up visits due to chronic intestinal inflammation. While I was busy having Bear’s back and helping him to heal, Healthy Paws Pet Insurance had mine. Their app makes submitting claims a breeze. Their customer service is outstanding and available late into the evening for questions (and you always get a happy/helpful voice on the other end of the line – we all know how rare that is these days). A rep from Healthy Paws even reached out to me the other day simply to find out how Bear was doing, and if we needed anything. I was shocked – in the best possible way. I’ll be eternally grateful that Healthy Paws eased the financial burden and allowed me to access the best care for my baby. I’ll be a life-long client and will recommend them to everyone who will listen.
