It is an easy process but 30 days to pay is a little slow.
I really like how easy it is to submit claims. However I feel that taking up to 30 days to pay the claim on a straight forward bill is a bit excessive.

Nationwide Stands by their Word!
Howie, our Golden Retriever of ten years, is one of our cherished dogs and is definitely part of our family. We have had VPI-now Nationwide throughout Howie's life. Last month we learned that Howie had bone cancer. We are heart broken. The definitely positive part of this hard time is that Nationwide has stood by us as we go through this time. If it wasn't for Nationwide, we would not be able to still have Howie. Howie is doing well at this time and we are enjoying the time we have. He loves going to the park and camping with us. GREAT KNOWING OUR INSURER HAS OUR BACKS!
We were distraught when our 2yr old Frenchie got sick and needed X-rays and blood work to determine the cause of his body spasms....what a relief knowing we had a pet insurance who would cover the costs of such tests!

They've Earned Our Loyalty
We've been policyholders for 15 years and with four different pets. Two of our pets experienced some serious (and ultimately prematurely fatal) health issues. Nationwide handled our claims very fairly and promptly, and thereby positioned us to provide our pets with the best possible care. They have earned our loyalty.

Love Nationwide Pet Insurance
I love Nationwide Pet Insurance because it covers my Frenchie nose to tail! Only complaint is the amount of time it takes to get reimbursed for a claim. And that the only cost is higher than when we started 3 years ago. But otherwise I am happy.

Almost impossible to get reimbursed in a timely manner!!
I turned in a reimbursement claim in January and another in March for Axel. Both visits were for the same reason. It took until April to finally have the claim settled. It was only due to me calling in and speaking with a manager about the situation that it was taken care of quickly at that point. After I spoke with a manager I received reimbursement within 2 days. If you look at the case notes you’ll see that Nationwide did reach out to me for additional information regarding vet records which I turned in for a second time which occurred back back in January. I leave the country for my job for 60 days at a time and my location doesn’t lend itself to the internet. Once I returned and spoke to an agent they didn’t take this into account and never once had any urgency to take care of the claim quickly and it wasn’t until I spoke with a manager that swift action was taken. I would think as an agent looks into these cases they should evaluate each customers situation and take appropriate action without manager intervention. I shouldn’t have to work so hard to get reimbursed for a service I pay good money for to make life easier on my wife when I’m deployed out of the country.

Nationwide is the best pet insurance!
So glad I found Nationwide. They really are the best pet insurance available. The coverage is great, claims process is easy, and personnel are always helpful. Because of this insurance I was able to adopt a companion dog for my dog. Could not have done it without the peace of mind that Nationwide provides.
