I have to admit, I wasn't sure if I was going to keep the pet insurance or not. However, after one of my dogs ended up needing surgery, I was very pleased with the ease of filing a claim and the amount that was covered under the insurance. Due to that, I am definitely keeping the insurance.

Nationwide by far is the best and most comprehensive Pet Insurance Company to do business with.

Trupanion is awsome
The folks at Trupanion are the best. Whenever I need to file a claim it is so easy and they respond immediatly. Recently, my vet hired a new technician who misfiled a claim. Trupanion sorted it out and called me to explain what had happened. With any other health care provider I would be on the phone for hours over many days trying to sort things out. Not so with Trupanion. And, the best part is they really care about Wally. I couldn't be happier with Trupanion and the wonderful culture they nurture there.

Excellent pet insurance in time of need
My dog was almost 10 when I signed up with Healthy Paws but I am so glad I did. Not very many pet insurances would take older dogs. He turns 15 in January and is now having many health issues and problems so recently I have been reimbursed for his claims. What a big help for all the costs exceeding normal costs. When you have extensive tests costs involving your vet, vet specialists, additional blood tests, ultrasounds, etc etc. I was so glad to have Healthy Paws by my side. I don’t know what future will bring, maybe my little one can live an additional 1-2 more years. He does have cysts by his pancreas and kidney and has cushings disease so is on a special diet now. Luckily I believe cysts are slow growing but specialist will watch this and I am so fortunate to have Healthy Paws. I may not have done all the extensive and further testing If I did not have pet insurance. Healthy Paws is truly worth the peace knowing what’s hurting your little one. Their customer service is excellent, payment reimbursement fast and truly worth the monthly insurance costs. I’d recommend this insurance to anyone looking for out of the ordinary care expenses.

Coverage Review
I think the insurance coverage and customer service in terms of answering questions, filing and processing claims is very good. The only comment I have is about removing exclusions from policies. I have submitted another request to have an exclusion removed and hopefully it will be approved. The reason for denying the removal the first time was that my dog was still on a prescription diet. This I found to be ironic since his diet is keeping him healthy and thriving. The only visits he really has had to the vet are for well checks and to purchase food during the last year.
