GO ELSEWHERE!!!

HORRIBLE...good luck on getting your claims paid. My extremely healthy 4-year-old boxer was SEVERELY lethargic, so, I took him to the Urgent Vet for Pet clinic (open and close to my home), because his lethargy was FAR from normal The Vet wanted to rule-out dehydration, possible reaction to Simparica Trio (which he's been on for years and had no issue), or potential cardiac issue. They concurred his lethargy was abnormal for a dog, and took chest x-rays, labs and followed up with 500ml IV fluid, Dexamethasone and Zofran. He was better within minutes of walking out of the clinic that I had to carry him into and acting about 80% normal, but still not quite himself. I followed up with his Vet the next day and they gave him another 500ml of IV fluid. He was back to himself the following day. I am now having to fight the claims adjuster to be properly compensated. Once through this debacle, I'll be switching to Spot, or Embrace (FORBES Top 2). Pre and post pics below. Good luck, Ken Adding to this. They talked me into staying...BIG MISTAKE!!! Moab was being worked up for cardiomyopathy (ARVC, which is unfortunately common in Boxers). Pumpkin denied the claim ($1,300) citing 'pre-existing' condition. I e-mailed them on 11 APR 2026 asking to explain the 'pre-existing' condition and today, 11 days later, nothing. Save yourself time and just put aside money ($100-$200/month) and handle this yourself as Pumpkin is obviously only out for the money and doesn't truly care about the consumer. I'm filing a complaint with the BBB, Writing the Depart of Insurance (NY, VA, and NC), and contacting the underwriters directly (IAIC, and USFIC). E-Mail I sent on 02MAY2026: Cancel my policy immediately!!! No pre-existing condition existed You couldn't even reply to my e-mail asking to explain why you declined to pay for his cardiac work-up or cite what pre-existing condition existed E-mail sent 11 days ago (11 APR 2026) asking for an explanation and unprofessionally no one replied As one who takes services I pay for very seriously, I am: Providing an honest Google review Filing a complaint with the BBB Writing the Depart of Insurance (NY, VA, and NC) Contacting the underwriters directly (IAIC, and USFIC) Regards, Ken

All pet owners should have a policy.

As customer for many years, I cannot recommend Healthy Paws insurance strongly enough. One of the worst situations imaginable for a pet owner is having to do the math to decide whether it’s “worth it” to get the medical care their pet needs and deserves - be it a hospital stay or a lifesaving procedure - or even just outpatient surgery to majorly improve their quality of life. It’s an awful feeling and I urge everyone to have an insurance policy on their pets so they never have to endure it. Healthy Paws has allowed me to make sure my buddy always gets the care he needs without hesitation - and claims have always been paid very rapidly with minimum fuss.

MetLife we will always Have

Metlife has been great. a little hiccup on our end of not providing the "new" name for the pup we rescued, but, they were amazing to work with and even processed the old pending claims that had been pending due to the name change. Customer service each time I have called, has been immensely wonderful.

Happy to Be Wrong!

Our sweet 1 y/o pup was not eating and suffering from diarrhea when she suddenly lost the use of her back legs, which was terrifying and heartbreaking. She had to spend a full weekend in the ER with films, ultrasounds, and a neurology consultation. This was a hefty bill which we tearfully paid with a credit card and kept fingers crossed we could get some reimbursement from PetsBest. In only two weeks, we discovered that PetsBest was true to the policy and paid exactly what our plan indicated with no fights or arguments. This brought us to tears and affirmed our decision to invest the money into her healthcare. We will never doubt PetsBest again.

Kind of strict with grouping issues as pre existing. My dog had yeast ears and because he had allergies before they didn’t cover the ear issue. Claims also can take awhile to be paid.

I am so happy that I insured my dog with Pets Best.

I am so thankful that I went with Pets Best Pet Health Insurance at the end of last year. My dog is getting older and my Vet suggested that a pet insurance plan might be a wise move. I researched a number of options and selected Pets Best. When I recently had to file a claim, I was thrilled that Pets Best came through for me. It was a wise investment. The claim was handled quickly with no hassle. I highly recommend Pets Best!

GRATEFULNESS

GRATEFULNESS I never imagined a 16 month old cat could suddenly become so sick, refusing to eat with projectile vomiting. I chose the Healthy Paws Catastrophic Coverage Plan for Zoe assuming I would never need it as she is so young. I was wrong… Thinking she might have swallowed a piece of the chewed clothes pin I found on the floor, I rushed her into my Veterinary Clinic. My Vet immediately used ultrasound to check her, but nothing was evident. Next step had to be exploratory surgery, at which time my Vet took multiple biopsies of different organs as nothing appeared lodged in her upper chest from swallowing any object. She was given prescription medication to increase her appetite and for pain. Biopsy results one week later revealed she had Irritable Bowel Disease. Currently she has been taking Prednisolone and I see Zoe’s Vet in a week for next steps. I am so grateful for Healthy Paws insurance coverage as I might otherwise have needed to provide hospice care only at home given the elevated costs incurred. Thankfully Zoe is recovering and I am anticipating a full recovery for her. Staff with whom I worked were responsive in answering questions along the way, processed my claims quickly and the process was straightforward. They were awesome and I am so grateful!
