Coverage for congenital disorders
Recently I had to get a life saving surgery on my Yorkie. She is just a pup and not getting this repairable surgery (liver shunt) would be cruel in my opinion. I submitted the claim and after reading the coverage I understood, however it did not cover any of the other fees because it was associated with the liver shunt that is not covered. I was very disappointed and am in search now of a pet insurance with more coverage. I have 5 pets covered through Nationwide and not receiving some assistance for the fluids, pain meds, etc., was disappointing.

No need to make tough decisions
My dog has had a rough year so far. We have been dealing with heart issues, eye issues, liver issues and arthritis. If I didn't have Embrace covering my dog's health insurance needs, I would have to make some very tough decisions. I thought, without Embrace, I would sell my car to pay for my dog's care. I have been with Embrace for 4 years. Each year, as my dog got older (she is now 10) the premiums would go up. But now that I see how much her care can cost in a mere few months, I don't regret paying these premiums one bit. And I appreciate being reimbursed in a reasonable amount of time. I'm so thankful for my Chelsea's insurance.

You've been a financial lifesaver for our babies
So much had been going, I hadn't gotten my billings sent. Then Tayla Sue had a lump on her rib cage and it was cancer. When I started sending in the paperwork, the money Nationwide returned helped us so much with her surgery. Thank you so much. Just like any insurance, most of the time you have it & don't need it, BUT when you DO need it, they've been wonderful

Fast claim turnaround and considerate customer care
We have had Nationwide (formerly VPI) pet insurance since our 12 year old beagle/basset was a puppy. The claims are processed quickly and benefits received promptly. The Major Medical plan is great for us, especially now as our dog ages. It covers so much and we don't hesitate to take her to the vet because we know we will get most or all of our expenses reimbursed. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but well worth the cost to keep our pet well and happy.

Everyone should look into insuring their pets
I have had wonderful experiences each time I have submitted claims for each of our two dogs. I appreciate their quick responses. The only thing I wish they covered was spaying and neutering (I've read that some companies can cover those). Thank you and we will continue to be loyal customers moving forward.

They cover hardly anything
I have paid a fortune to Nationwide over the last several years - they barely cover anything. I get checks for ridiculously small amounts of money which cover hardly any of the expenses and bills that the average 13 year old dog will incur.

So glad i chose Nationwide for my fur baby
I was recommended by a friend to try this insurance after my puppy cost me $750 for an emergency vet visit. I reviewed several companies and found that Nationwide would work best for me. I chose the Wellness plan. The amount I would pay in a year would pay for itself if i kept up with her immunizations and check ups including flea, tick and heartworm treatments. I would also be covered if i had another emergency visit. I got the 100% wellness plan and I will definitely refer Nationwide as a premier insurer for anyone's precious fur baby.
