This is good insurance
My dog was itching constantly and the vet suspected food allergies. The bill came to $502 with allergy testing, medicine, and a shot. Nationwide paid $407 for the bill. I am very happy with Nationwide. My dog is doing great now and I was relieved that I did not have to pay that big bill.

Comprehensive Coverage Worth the Cost
I have had Nationwide Pet Insurance for about 2 years now for each of my two cats. I got Whole Pet Wellness Plans after one of my cats contracted a kidney infection which end up costing me over $1000. Since then, I have been very satisfied with the service. My Whole Pet Wellness Plans each have a $250 annual deductible and then a 10% copay once the deductible is met. This is wonderful; the plan covers nearly EVERY medical issue my girls may face as well as wellness visits and dental cleanings. It has absolutely been worth it. One annual check up nearly maxes out the deductible, and then I can take them in for a dental cleaning and get treatment for any surprise issues without breaking the bank. This year one of my cats had a check up, a dental cleaning with anesthesia, a tooth extraction, AND several visits to treat an abscess on her back end. In total her treatments cost me just over $400 including the deductible and copay; that is only about 20% of the actual total cost. In addition, Nationwide recently started taking scanned copies of claims forms via e-mail, which has greatly reduced the wait time for refunds. Overall, Nationwide's service has been immensely helpful and given me great piece of mind. I like to tell folks that my cats have cheaper and more comprehensive health insurance than I do!

Pet Insurance Coverage
I had heard about various pet insurances but I wanted to get one with a well known company with a trusted reputation, so I chose Nationwide. I’m glad I did. They have been very reliable and I strongly recommend them. It is very reassuring to know that your fur babies can get the same quality medical care that you receive for yourself. Thanks, Nationwide

Prompt, helpful and reassuring service
I have delighted with the ease of filing for reimbursement, that my policy coverage was better than expected, and when I called the Vet hotline - they were both helpful and reassuring. Absolutely recommend - good value and great service

Thanks nationwide :)
I've had the easiest time with nationwide pet and recommend it to everyone. I got the wellness + pet insurance when my my dog was just a puppy and it more than covered all those puppy visits and fixing (chose wellness plus because it covered fixing when I enrolled, I don't know if it still does but that alone makes it very worth it as a puppy). Not only that, but when my dog was very sick one night and the vet bill turned out to be about $3k the bill became manageable after insurance. There was no worrying on my part on how I'd find that money and I could relax knowing my dog's care was taken care of instead of having to consider the cost of care. Customer service was good the few times I called as well. I'd would like a mobile app for easy claims though (there is a nationwide insurance app but it only seems to link to my car - if it is in fact via that app the UI should be adjusted, it's not very intuitive) and I'd prefer if I didn't have to go through nationwide-->chase payment-->reimbursement, I'd prefer a more direct online payment method, but it's not the worst and it's understandable. Other than that I am a very happy customer :)

Unbelievable satisfaction - don't wait!
For the past 2 years or so I've been contemplating pet insurance, however my husband and I kept telling ourselves we can't afford it, we'll just continue putting our money towards healthy, high-quality pet food and treats for our 8 and 9 year old dogs. Still, that nagging feeling that what if one of our pups got a serious illness what would we do? Take a loan out on our house? Accumulate a high interest balance on our credit cards? Put them down? This past Christmas (2017) I finally convinced my husband to pull the trigger and we signed up for Embrace pet insurance and It was surprisingly more affordable than I ever imagined. especially if you pay for the entire year at once True store, January 7th 2018 our 9 year only pup had unexplained "bruising" on his tummy followed by an "allergic reaction" the following day. Here we are in February 2018 and after many tests and procedures he's since been diagnosed with a mast cell tumor (cancer) which has spread. All of our vet bill, ER hospital visit, and veterinary specialist receipts have been submitted and paid except for 3 recent ones still in review. I really can't believe how simple and easy it has been to submit and get claims paid. I also can't believe Embrace did not try to chalk this up to a pre-existing condition since the timing of it all was so unbelievably close. Our pup still may not win this battle but at least we have the comfort to know we are able to provide him with the best available medical treatment, without having to subject ourselves to the emotional decision just how much are we willing to give up financially to help save or extend his life. We are stressed enough with the thought of losing our boy, at least we do not have to stress about money or the discussion between a couple of how much are each of us willing to spend to save our beloved pup? Bravo, Embrace, you have been absolutely fantastic!!!!

Now that my boy is insured I am relieved financially and only have to worry about getting him healthy again. As it should be

Quick and Fair priced
My husband and I did a lot of research, we have 3 shih tzu’s. They don’t have any issues, but they are our babies and I wanted to make sure we could care for them when needed. Figo had the fairest prices with the most coverage. We could have went with the “Cadillac” package from nationwide, but for 3 dogs it would have cost us $450 a month! As dogs age the prices of the insurance monthly costs go up, that makes sense, but that cost more than what we pay for our insurance as humans. We unfortunately had the pleasure of using the insurance, when my dog would not stop throwing up for a few days straight, yes we paid out of pocket for the visit, but within a week or two we got a check back for 90% of what we paid. Well worth it! If something serious happens we will be covered as long as the illness was not caused by something that has preventative medicine. If you are not giving you dog heartworm meds or are giving the heart worm meds and you dog gets heartworm, the insurance will not cover that, or if there was a preexisting condition, you dog will not be covered for that care. It is best to get insurance right away, get cleared as 100% healthy by the vet and then you are good, don’t wait till something happens then look into it, you get insurance for the “what if” not the “oh no, what do we do now” situations. Keep track of your dog's heartworm and flea and tick, nothing is 100% protective, just like condoms! :) but 99% is better than nothing and will help save your dogs life and not put you in a situation where there is nothing you can do to help them. I hope this review helps you make the decision!

Worth the expense
We purchased ASPCA pet health insurance when our poodle was a pup, and it has been well worth the expense. She was diagnosed later that first year with Addison's disease, and the insurance helped a great deal to get through the diagnosis and many years of what will be a lifelong treatment. The insurance also covered much of the expense from other ailments, including a broken ankle that needed surgery.
