We filed a claim and our insurance rate…
We filed a claim and our insurance rate doubled every month. Talked to them and said that happens and wanted me to take some things off the insurance plan to bring it down a little bit. To have it doubled is pretty bad, so disappointed in the insurance. So beware if you file a claim!!

Adopted shelter kitten, insurance was pointeless
We signed up for coverage after receiving marketing materials and pamphlets at our local shelter. Those were all super misleading, making us believe that we would get coverage for routine/preventative care. That turned out not to be the case and all our claims for vaccines and other routine kitten care (over $600, which we assumed would kick in after our $250 deductible) were denied. That came as a surprise for us, even after reading the fine print! When we called to ask for an explanation of benefits, etc. we were simply advertised to again saying that we needed to opt into an even more expensive plan. I would NOT recommend this insurance company if you've got an average/healthy pet. Waste of money every month.

I’m Done
I had no problems the first few years.I've been a customer for 8 yrs.Last year or two I could never get the claims for my two dogs approved because you were never satisfied with the receipts and invoices I sent you.Now I had issues with taking the pics on your app. I took the pics over and over again yet they were never good enough for the app even though they looked perfect to me. I called support and had to talk to someone that I could hardly understand.i was told to email them.i did that and finally got one approved and waiting on payment. Got an email today telling me i needed to resubmit the 2nd claim because the email I sent didn’t have the attachment with the receipts. I pulled up my copy of the email and it’s all on there so I resent it.I forgot to mention that my vet had also sent all the info to begin with. I’m waiting for these claims to go through and after eight years I’m done. What I’m paying is way more than I ever get back and I can’t deal with these issues anymore. It should not be so difficult to submit a claim.

I have Pets Best for both of my dogs
I have Pets Best for both of my dogs. I recently got a puppy who turned out to be very ill with a liver shunt and I have had no issues with the insurance paying his bills, and honestly, they are a big reason my puppy is getting better! Thank you!!!!

I did not think that I would ever need…
I did not think that I would ever need pet insurance, and usually don't but such things , but the price was reasonable, and I heard good things about Trupanion. When my poor little puppy got sick , it was comforting to know they were there to help. The animal hospital said I was lucky to have trupanion and it was the best.

Excellent insurance except for one thing…
"I wish you would review your payment policies for prophylactic meds. I keep my Service Dog on NexGard and HeartGard Plus 12 months out of the year (pay for them 6 months at a time). Around $250 for 6 months or around $500 for the entire year. Your reimbursement is about $95 so not even a quarter of the total. I keep Hatsuko Chana Tatum on it to keep her healthy and so she does not get flea, tick, or heartworm related diseases."
