My dog had a rare parasite/fluke (Nanophyetus salmincola) - apparently associated with salmon poisoning (no idea how he got this but possibly being out in a lake). The vet put my pup on medication that was quite expensive to treat this life threatening condition. Pet's best denied my claim (and subsequent appeals) since the medication is not on their 'formulary list'. There was no alternative medications available and my vet provided a letter stating why my dog needed this medicine that cost several hundred dollars. Read the fine print - Pets best will find a way to not pay your claim if you incur an expensive vet pill. Please do not support this company that clearly cares more about the bottom line than providing care for your pet.

Extremely helpful
He was extremely helpful, and super compassionate when I told him my dog wasn't doing well. The sound in his voice was very genuine, and that meant so much. Life is difficult in itself, but when u have a person who's nice and caring, it should be known!

You speak to one person thats manages your acoount not a million ones each time you call. Phone calls are aways returned immediately.
