Slowest Reimbursement ever
For some reason it took 29 days to reimburse for dog food, but only 6 days for a vet visit, but the vet visit was not correctly reimbursed and when I submitted additional documentation, I received no confirmation, it is not showing in the claims section, and when I called I was told it would take an additional 30 days just to review the additional information that was submitted. Not sure how this is even remotely considered halfway decent customer service

Quick claim process, but hard to gauge a timeline or process

Absolute BEST pet insurance company
Healthy Paws is the absolute BEST pet insurance in the world. I was weary about purchasing insurance, but I’m so so glad I did, because I’ve had to use it more than I ever imagined. The folks at Healthy Paws seem to really and truly care you you the customer as well as your four-legged buddy. Claims processing is so easy with the app, and refunds are processed super quickly. I’d never go with anyone else! Highly recommend.

Well-practiced scam
Pet insurance in general is known to be a gamble, but Nationwide has perfected the claim denial game. I am a physician, so I know a thing or two about medicine and can speak the language. Our Boston came to us with diarrhea when he was about two years old. At age 6, he went through a spell of not eating and lost some weight. He never got a formal diagnosis from the vet, and eventually just started eating normally again. We filed a claim and it was denied due to "pre-existing condition." They said his anorexia was the SAME as his diarrhea years earlier. Then they went so far as to provide a long list of vague and general "diagnoses" that they would never cover in his lifetime. I repeatedly asked them for medical evidence to support their assertions that his transient condition had anything to do with the long list of "conditions" they were refusing to cover in the future. Needless to say, we've cancelled our policy and are giving another company a try.

I think it is a great program!
I have a 9 year old Siamese who hurt her paw and Nationwide was there for m; helping with the cost and following up to see that Jazzy was healed. I get the insurance through work and payroll deduction is easy. Claims easy. It's a win win!

Excellent Service
This pet insurer is one of the best that I have had the pleasure to deal with. I would very strongly recommend getting a policy from Embrace for your pet as soon as it qualifies for one. Do not wait as extreme expenses could arise without notice as with my dog which passed away due to an accident and Embrace was there to handle the majority of costs associated with the vet bill up to the maximum of the policy. Even if you have a beloved mutt like mine or a pedigree you need to get a policy now..................

PHENOMENAL PET INSURANCE
My husband and I signed our precious French bulldog Chief up for Healthy Paws Pet Insurance in June of 2018. We actually switched from Trupanion. Unfortunately, Chief sustained a CCL year a month ago and needed TPLO surgery which is VERY expensive. The few appointments leading up to his surgery, Healthy Paws was incredible. It is extremely easy to submit a claim, and they’re very responsive; less than a week! The BIG claim for Chief’s surgery was very successful in that Healthy Paws was once again very efficient, and communicated throughout the entire processing of the claim. We received our reimbursement check within two weeks of submission. Healthy Paws’ website is very user friendly. Their outstanding customer service is what kept my husband and I (and Chief) with Healthy Paws. There are no tricks or “extra fine print” that you need to worry about. Everything you need to know about your pet policy is stated up front. We HIGHLY recommend Healthy Paws!!!
