You guys (Trupanion) have been not much less than a godsend for us with our little guy. I know insurance is always picked up, hoping for the best and preparing for the worst, but for us you have come through in spades. Both in coverage, and ease of getting claims processed. I have absolutely been recommending your services to family and friends who have or are thinking about getting pets. Thank you so much for being there for us!

We are so happy with the ins.
We are so happy with the ins. When Rosie,s bowel got nicked during spaying procedure and she was going to die We had to go to a special hospital to have emergency surgery. This was an expensive place and unexpected bill but Trupanion took care of the bill . Rosie is grateful too.Everyone who knew what we were going through thought we should put her to sleep but with the special hospital and Trupanion ins. We were able to afford to get her the best care needed Rosie is a very healthy chihauhau and has more energy than10 Chihauhaus. Again thanks to Trupanion ins.and good veteranians God Bless

My only issue
The only issue up for discussion was whether or not I needed to send to inform Trupanion of my visits to another vet than Friendship Hospital for Animals that I had been using before using Dupont Vet late last year. I came away from the call with the view that it was not necessary for my dog's plane travel costs. There was no injury or health problem costs involved. Just a certification of good health by the vet, and the airplane charges for travel in the cargo hold.

Always answer the phone quickly, are well trained and truly care. The service is efficient in both advising about cover and payment. It is already a stressful time when your beloved pet is ill, but the staff ensure that there is no additional stress with the financial assistance. My issue with the pre-approval process hasn't worked very smoothly at all.
This is the second pet I have had enrolled with Trupanion, and with each pet, the pre-approval process hasn't worked very smoothly at all. In fact, each time, the people I reached first by calling have not really seemed familiar with it. It's frustrating since it has been a very time-sensitive, life-threatening situation in each case. I would really like it if Trupanion could initiate getting some medical history at the time of enrollment instead of at the first claim to help expedite the process. I'm fortunate that I have had the resources available in each case to go ahead and get treatments started, but it is bothersome that the fact I had already initiated treatment seems to further complicate the process. My pet is already at the clinic in dire circumstances - am I supposed to have the pet discharged pending your collection of medical history and review of the treatment plan? It doesn't seem to make much sense from the client side, and it puts my pet's life at risk. Ultimately, coverage has been approved and is very helpful, but it has been very stressful at the outset when my mind is understandably focused only on helping my dog survive.
