My Pet's Second Visit
The claim took under two weeks. I was hoping it'd be faster, but ok turn time. This was our second visit to the vet. We had filed a claim earlier in the year and nothing was sent over to me to let me know you had received it. It'd be good practice, even if the claim is under the amount of the deductible, to just send an acknowledgment from your side letting me know you received my claim and that it falls under the co-payment amount . That would be very valuable as I wasn't sure if I had filed it correctly.

VERY happy with Healthy Paws

Great pet insurance company
I have been with Trupanion for many years. They have been very reasonable with rate increase and it is not depends on how old your pet is and how many claim you submitted. Their pet policy is reasonable and claim processing is very fast. My Vet has a direct link with them and within minutes our claim and payment was processed. Highly recommend if you care about the health of your Pet.

So helpful and easy to submit claims
It's so helpful to have pet insurance. The vet office submitted my claims via fax which was easy for me. I just wish it didn't take so long to process/approve the claim and payment.

My 8 year old Himalayan cat Winslow had a second bout of bladder stones. This time around it occurred on a holiday weekend, meaning that the emergency hospital we brought him to was unable to provide the surgery he needed until well after the holiday. They were able to unblock him with a catheter, and then we had to drive him to another hospital (2.5 hours away) for surgery. I ended up submitting claims from multiple hospitals for multiple procedures. I was delighted when I received reimbursement for these claims about 6 weeks later.... I expected it to take much longer, and wasn't even sure how much would be covered. I'm very pleased with the quick turnaround and reimbursement rate. Thank you!

Best pet insurance we have found so far
This is the fourth different pet insurance company I have been with over the years, for different pets and in different states. Embrace is by far the easiest to use. The patient portal is very intuitive. And they also have been the easiest to communicate with by FAR. Any and all questions get a personal and detailed response. Their rather broad interpretation of what constitutes a "previously existing condition" is disappointing. But they were very up front about it, and sent a detailed explanation of what would be excluded in advance (with opportunity to appeal for further review). There have been no hidden "surprises" like too many other insurers spring on pet owners. On the whole, I'm glad we are with them.

Us and Lola are always taken care of!
Lola has had some had luck this year with a stay in the animal hospital, then an eye infection and then a foot infection. Perfectly healthy before this past few months but it helps us know our pet insurance plan has helped us along the way!

I am happy to have your support when and if I need it.
The only mistake I made is that I did not file a claim after every visit to a vet. I was told that based on the type of insurance that I selected there was no time limit. Now I see that it would have been important to file something after every vet visit, as going back 2 years as an example I would not remember.

What a relief to have pet medical insurance
My husband is disabled and we live on a fixed income. Keeping his service dog healthy is critical to both of their well being and having Natiowide Pet Insurance has repeatedly been a great blessing. Although we must pay up front for vet services, and there is a $250 deductible, it is so worth it to get all of Hawkeye's wellness taken care of each year, and then to know we can afford to have his teeth cleaned or have other emergency vet services covered 80% if we need them. Nationwide pays promptly, and is helpful and easy to communicate with whenever we have questions or need help. We highly recommend Nationwide Pet Insurance for peace of mind and great service.
