Incredible company!
First, I ALWAYS recommend Trupanion. To new dog owners, at the dog park, wherever I can... I signed up with my Basset Hound in 2005. Back then in Canada there weren't many to choose from. I did all the research and chose Trupanion because after reading all the 'fine print' of all the companies, Trupanion was by far and wide THE BEST option. They STILL are, which is why I have recently signed up my new furry child. Which reminds me... they also value and reward loyalty. I got a discount for having been with them so long and signing up my new puppy after my other 'puppy' passed away. Second, I have done pet rescue interviews and through 'real life' comparisons via those conversations, Trupanion is far superior. Third, my Lucy has quite a few health issues and so saw many Specialists and medical facilities. Often when those places fill out the paperwork, it is mentioned to me by the staff that Trupanion is the best of all out there. Fourth, As mentioned Lucy had health issues, especially near the end. Trupanion always paid quickly (quicker I hear than most others, if not the quickest) without ANY hassle, there was never the feeling of 'me vs. them'. Contrary, it was more of a feeling that we were a team trying to do the best for Lucy. Which brings me to the next point... Fifth, The employees are ALWAYS friendly and you can tell there is a real engagement these people have in their positions. There is a real sense that yes, they are a business but, they care about your pet first and foremost. The first question when you call is always about your pet and how they are doing. I once had an issue where my claims couldn't get through their servers (in fairness, I kept the whole year's worth and sent all at once). They were on the problem, had it solved within the day giving me an alternative for sending in the meantime and then followed up with me a couple weeks later to inform me they had fixed the issue and what they did to fix it. I hardly [if ever] give perfect scores in a survey however, in all my years with this company I have experienced nothing but, professionalism, caring and promptness. I can't actually think of any problem I have had with this company. If there was an option for more than 10, they would get it. My sister [who is skeptical of insurance companies] after hearing everything said "are you sure this is an insurance company?" and now recommends Trupanion to people she encounters, which is many considering she is involved in pet rescue. Well done Trupanion... You have shown that it IS possible to care about the client while at the same time achieve the goals of the company.. and thank you!

Great Service; Working as promised
We began with Nationwide with our puppy's first vet visit. Dinky is now 2+ years old. We are full time RVers and travel extensively during the summers. Thus, we visit a different vet each time we have a vet issue during the summer. Never an insurance problem. Easy insurance forms. Great service. Insurance works as advertised. We have recommended Nationwide to many others.

The automated process is wonderful.
Whenever I talk with one of Trupanion s representatives they act like they really care about my pets. They also are very ready to help. The automated process is wonderful. Now I just scan and send and the money appears in my bank account soon thereafter. I wish my own medical insurance experience was so good.

Great Insurance for pets.
Great Insurance for pets. No hassle claims. Even when the Vet Office submits claim and messes it all up (wrong diagnosis) I was able to straighten it up with one phone call to your representative. From now on I will be submitting claim because the Vet Office really dropped the ball, this time. Had no problems with them in the past. Thank you for making it easy to correct their mistake

I'm really pleased
I m really pleased with Trupanion. My pup has a chronic condition (seizure disorder), so he requires meds twice a day. Trupanion has been fantastic and covering claims and, when I have had a question, their customer service has been really, really, good.
