My husband and I debated about whether or not we should invest in pet insurance before we brought our puppy home. It has been 100% worth it. It is so easy to submit claims via email, and we are always reimbursed by the end of the month. We could not recommend it more!

I was dismayed by the increase in pet insurance premiums when my GSD was merely a 6 year old but with the high cost of veterinary care, glad I have had since her puppyhood. This year a little mishap that required ER dog care and minor surgery. Claim form easy to complete and submit. Response by your company prompt and professional.

Denied ear infection as preexisting condition
Denied ear infection as pre-existing condition when we've had the insurance for several years. Ridiculous. Seems like almost every claim is denied for 1 reason or another.

Claims are very inconsistent
The time it takes to process claims are very inconsistent. I will have one claim that will be processed & approved with 1-2 days and then there are claims can take 3-4 weeks to process. Customer service are very slow in responding to inquiries via email

I tell all my friends
I tell all my friends who have a pet that they should sign up for Trupanion. I love the fact that you can upload your claims on the Trupanion website. However, I wish you were able to view the documents after you upload them. The software doesn't t give you the opportunity to double check that you uploaded the correct files.
