I can't begin to say how much ASPCA pet insurance has helped me. Anyone who is a pet owner knows how expensive just basic vet care can be, not to mention if your pet gets sick or injured. I have multiple cats, one of which has chronic kidney disease. Knowing that I have ASPCA insurance really helps me to not stress over the cost of his care so that i can ensure he receives the treatment he needs and focus on his recovery. The insurance even covers his prescription food!

fantastic insurance that is worth the money!
I have had insurance for my cocker spaniel since he was less than 1 year old. I've never had pet insurance and have heard negative stories about "loopholes" and nonpayments. when my dog got melanoma, I have had specialist vets diagnose and perform surgery on him to extend his life--NOT CHEAP! Trupanion has paid 90% minus my deduct of $100 per bill--one of which was $3800.00. Trust me, they pay what they say they will . My dog is 6 years old, and I hope he will live much longer. I could never have paid the bills it has taken to try to save him. Needless to say, Trupanion has provided that option. Do your pet a favor and purchase Trupanion.

Good experience so far!
So far we are very pleased with Nationwide. They paid about if not exactly 90% of my dogs vet bills for the two claimes we have put in. When I called to see how we would get the check the respresentative was very friendly and helpful. So far so good!

too long
It takes entirely too long for claims to be processed once you receive them. It rakes so long I forget about them. This is not good especially if it needs to be followed up on.

This pet insurance does exactly what it says, reimburses exact.
I was really worried we wouldn't get reimbursed even though it was truly a freak accident. It was so much money and we were really scared. But we are glad it all worked out! The only thing that was a problem was the request of records. You guys requested the records and the vet sent them. But something was wrong with the fire wall or something so they never came through. I called on day 7 to see why it had not been reimbursed, and figured out a work around by forwarding from my email. That was an extra 7 days added with no reimbursement. It was scary, but it all worked out in the end. Everyone on the phone was SUPER SUPER nice. I will definitely be selling this to all of my friends.

A Little Slow on Claims
I find that while the claims are easy to file, the communication regarding claim questions is not two way and they are just kicked back, unpaid, and then potential resubmittal. The time frame of the claim process is a long one, especially when you're waiting on a large reimbursement. I think 2 weeks would be more of a reasonable timeframe versus the month timeframe.

Best Pet Insurance Company out there!
I have had Nationwide for both my Mastiffs and I find it to be the best, most comprehensive policy there is. The process of submitting claims is easy and processing is fairly quick.
