Pleasantly surprised
I submitted a claim for a well visit. I did not expect reimbursement, just thought it would count towards my deductible. I was pleasantly surprised to actually get a reimbursement.

Trupanion is incredible
Trupanion has been there for us through so much. Our dogs have cancer and mobility issues and Trupanion has allowed us to get the best possible care even though we are on a limited retirement income. From the smallest claim, to a claim in the thousands they pay the claim without question within a couple of days. They are truly amazing!

My Kuma would not be with us today without Trupanion.
I honestly cannot say enough good about Trupanion and their team. The insurance covered the cost of back surgery for my Akita without which we could not have afforded and our beautiful boy would not be with us today. Overall a good experience, once I learned how to submit a claim
I am generally pleased with the process. Filing a claim is not as intuitive as I would like though. My only concern is why our claim for surgery to remove undescended testicles from Duke's Abdomen was not approved. We had them removed because this condition increases the risk of cancer, which would have meant a shorter life span, as well as increased medical bills and claims. We do understand that neutering is not covered; however, this was a neuter for cause, not for the sake of neutering. Other claims though were paid without any problem, and for that reason I will continue coverage.

Was skeptical about getting insurance for my puppy, was was very happy I did. My puppy swallowed a bully stick whole, and needed an emergency endoscope to remove it. The cost was $1300. Thank goodness for having insurance. I was pleased with the time it took to reimburse 80% if the cost.

This company is the very model of good customer service and delivering what's promised
I got the cheaper 90% / $500 annual deductible plan to mitigate the cost of disaster. Long story short, they delivered to the tune of $4,300 in reimbursements over 2 1/2 years. Claims are extremely easy to submit and every qualifying penny was paid without argument or dispute within a week or two. Customer support answers immediately and are very friendly & helpful. In fact; they helped clear up some confusion over what's covered (to my benefit) and actually allowed me to file 3 years back (retrieving $900 and $450 for years 1 & 2 respectively). I only wish I'd opted for the $250 deductible for just $8/mo more.

Overall experience is positive
My overall claims experience is very positive. My pets' healthcare is extremely important to me and the insurance is a nice cushion to have. Claims are easy to file, PB keeps me informed as to the timeline for completion and the direct deposit is very convenient. This is why I have been a long time policy holder with PB.
