Dear Pets Best Customer Care Team, This is to say a huge "Thank You" for your kindness and compassion during Zoe's most recent (sadly fatal) illness. Human insurance companies could/should take lessons from you. Your claim process is incredibly simple and straightforward. Your coverage is comprehensive and easy to understand. Your re-imbursement process very fast and seamless. And to top off everything, you sent a sympathy card that brought tears to our eyes. Needless to say that I have spoken very highly of you and recommended your company to all my animal-loving friends as well as to various vetrinary clinic staff. So glad to have found Figo
After rescuing our puppy in April, I found Figo in June to approve her with pre-existing condition (Erulichia) to be excluded, but covered otherwise. Several other companies wouldn't even write a policy on her due to PEC. Unfortunately, she was puppy clumsy and slid into the staircase and broke her leg at the beginning of August and it was all covered / reimbursed including physical therapy after some muscle atrophy due to 6 week cast. I am a firm believer of pet insurance!

Thank Goodness I Bought Insurance
This is my first experience with pet health insurance & my fourth dog, but first Chessie. I had no idea that a young puppy could be such a challenge. Our Goldens were much more biddable. Our crazy Chessie has consumed a pair of foam ear plugs and a sock on 2 separate occasions. Fortunately our vet visits for these “interesting meals” did not involve surgery. They were costly nonetheless. Then there was the bout of kennel cough (despite having been vaccinated). Nationwide has covered a considerable portion of these vet bills — sometimes completely. Filing a claim is simple via an app. Payment did take a while at the beginning, but seems to have gotten faster lately.

We were very apprehensive purchasing pet insurance but we’ve already had to use it 3 x with our 14-month-old lab and each experience was great! What we were told was covered in the beginning was with no small print brining any surprises.

Healthy Paws came through after my furbaby tore her CCL and had major surgery!
My fur baby jumped on my bed and completely tore her CCL requiring major surgery. I sent Healthy Paws all of her medical records and within 10 days they approved the claim and reimbursed me accordingly. I have 4 dogs insured with them and would highly recommend them. I have had my dogs covered since 2012 and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Your premiums will SOAR EVERY YEAR!!!
I started with FIGO in 2017. I had done a lot of research and they had great rates and coverage and I started out paying $413 a year for my Lab who is now 3, and this year's renewal is $707 ! For my med sized mix dog it started at $324 and this year's renewal is $471. That is almost a $400 increase in 2 years, and that was WITH downgrading my coverage last year due to the ridiculous price hike. Now they started piecemealing the coverage, making the office visit fee extra, changing the deductibles etc. They SCREWED everyone who started with them and put their fur babies on this plan by making this coverage see so great then just grossly increasing the premiums. AND...there is no way to switch to another insurance because all the other insurance companies will consider everything that has happened previously as a 'pre-existing condition. That is how they can raise the prices so much because they know that your are SOL. Sure, they may get your claims handled quickly (if they are actually going to pay it) but that is the only reason they give for the price hikes. TOTAL SCAM. They won't pay for Rx's that are being sold ILLEGALLY on the internet by places such as Amazon, even if the Rx states on the packaging 'Only for Sale by Licenced Veterinarians', they will say it is available Over the Counter and so the will not pay it. If I could do over, I would go with Pet's best. Don't use FIGO. Pretty soon I will have to downgrade this to basically a super high deductible and consider it only if the worst were to happen such as major surgeries.
