Pet Insurance Who Knew???
Nationwide pet insurance was the best thing I bought after adopting my Pepper 4 years ago. She is a Shitzu/terrier mix and does not have any health issues, thank goodness. However, regular visits, shots, and the occasional mischief requiring medical attention can run up quite the bill but with this coverage I feel both Pepper and myself are covered perfectly.

Pays Claims Promptly
We have had our Labrador covered by Healthy Paws since she was only a few weeks old, or about a year and a half now. She seems to like to eat things she shouldn't, and has required veterinary care twice. Both times Healthy Paws has paid promptly in amounts exactly as described in the policy. Not only that, they seem to really care about their clients.

Nationwide Always Makes Us Feel Safe
We have a young German Wirehaired Pointer who is a true adventure dog. Whether it’s running trails in British Columbia or climbing mountains in Utah he is always out and about in rugged terrain which unfortunately can lead to some injuries. Thankfully Nationwide has always been there to provide coverage when we needed it the most. It is so easy to file and claim and they handle it promptly and professionally which takes the stress out of emergency pet visits. Thank you for being there for our furry best friend!

Great and fast service!
My dog had a broken tooth and a wart-type of rather large growth on her elbow both of which were subject for removal, requiring full anesthesia. Healthy Paws were very helpful and provided great service. I was clearly explained what is covered and what is not and both procedures were covered. Got the reimbursement for the surgery cost in less than a week! Amazing! Having an insurance with Healthy Paws really give you a peace of mind, knowing that your pet is covered in case of an emergency.

So Happy!
We are so happy with Nationwide insurance. Like most insurance, you don't need it until you do! Both our dogs came down with kennel cough and after paying for emergency vet visits and medication it was quite expensive! After submitting the claims and getting the checks in the mail most of their vet visits and all of their medications were covered. We are huge fans of this insurance!

Please review/adjust coverage by state to represent the increase in premium charged by state
Hello - we just moved from Ohio to Maryland. Toby is our ~13 year old lab/shepherd mix. We renewed our policy for Toby this month and there was a significant jump in the cost vs. last year. When I asked the representative why the increase, she said coverage is based on age and state and having moved to MD, that is part of the increase. I have noticed that the cost of similar veterinary treatments here in MD are higher than in Ohio, I was also informed that the coverage from Nationwide does not increase. I'm very concerned about this... I, the pet owner will have to pay more for each veterinary visit, submit the claim, and not receive any increase in claim coverage/refund from Nationwide. Would appreciate a response on why this is... or to know that Nationwide will be reviewing the coverage by state to ensure that the same %age of coverage is provided regardless of the state if you continue to charge extra for our premiums by state. I hope that makes sense. Thank you!

Easy process with app and fast reimbursement process
I use the app to submit claims and have no trouble submitting and getting reimbursements in a timely manner. It's been super simple. It's been a really easy process and nice to not have to worry about that aspect of things when my pet was sick.

Great Customer Service Support & Claim Management
This is my first experience with pet insurance in general and with Nationwide specifically. I found the process of getting an estimate online to enrolling online and having my pet insurance premium directly deducted from my paycheck an easy and straight forward process. Calling Customer Service for support is quick and they always follow-up with an email. Submission of my claim was also easy to do online as well as subsequent communications via email to inform me of the status of my claim. My claim was originally denied because it appeared to be a pre-existing condition, however based upon re-review and a note from my vet the claim was accepted and paid pretty quickly. I highly recommend Nationwide pet insurance.
