I have been paying for the past 3 years and have only gotten around $40 back. While I'm happy that it indicates that my dog has been pretty healthy, I've had some pretty steep vet bills that haven't been covered. The cost has gone up by quite a bit and now the deductible can only be raised and not lowered...the flexibility had been a real plus.

Long delay, but kind and professional.
Although my claim took a very long time to process, the agent was kind to explain to me the reasons for the delay (it was my first claim and my vets are francophones). I was surprised that a few things weren't covered by my policy, but no big deal.

simply the best
first time experience dealing with the claim service and hopefully my last. the only reason i say that is because my dog is not only a part of the family as if he walked on only two legs but is also our best friend and a true companion and therefore hope nothing else will happen that we have to have him taken to the vet for treatment. trupanion was simply the best financial act i have ever considered and would beyond a doubt recommend them to anyone that has a pet

While I understand that costs go up I was totally shocked by the 50% increase in premiums this year.
While I understand that costs go up, I was totally shocked by the 50% increase in premiums this year. I have paid into this plan for 8 years and only collected once approx. $300 when I had to take my dog to the emergency from bee stings. I feel like I am having to pay for other dog's ailments even though mine is healthy.

Missing important health coverage
I like Trupanion but it takes quite some time and effort to gather all the documents, scan them, and send them digitally. Also, my dog has severe anxiety and it is not covered under the plan. Ridiculous. My dogs mental health absolutely affects his heart, allergies, nervous system, skin and coat... as well as digestion, when he eats our couch because he is so anxious to be left alone. You need to adjust your basic plan to take into consideration any condition where the animal is taking Rx medication to try and manage the symptoms. Please reconsider your stance. Thank you.

Trupanion is Excellent!
Our experience with Trupanion is always excellent. We tell every person we can about how great Trupanion is! They are quick with reimbursing claims, their call staff is always helpful and patient when we have questions, and the option to pick the type of coverage we want makes it affordable for everyone. We could not continue to give our pups the best treatment without Trupanion!
