Peace of mind and great service
Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is 3 and 1/2 years old and we got Healthy Paws insurance when she was born. It has been a great decision and we have turned to them many times. Their response time for reimbursement is amazing!! Sometimes we are approved for reimbursement for medication or tests on the same day. More involved testing such as the MRI only took 2 days. It has been a blessing to know we have Healthy Paws to ease some of the stress when our fur baby needs medical care.

Best decision we made
My husband wanted to get pet insurance for our leonberger when he was a puppy. I thought it was a waste of money and was against it thinking they wouldn’t cover anything. Well, I was wrong and am so glad my husband pushed to get this policy. Trupanion has been fantastic and so easy to work with. They don’t cover only what they clearly state they don’t cover in the policy. Otherwise they have covered all the unexpected injuries our leonberger has experienced with a simple online submission of the bill. They get the records from the vet directly and have covered everything we submitted that was eligible. Highly recommend Trupanion!

Thieves who don’t pay claims they legally owe
Thieves who do not pay claims owed. I purchased an annual policy for my 9 week old puppy on 2/10/21 to go into effect on 2/11/21 to 2/11/22 to include: companion care, exam plus, hereditary plus, defender, alternative plus. They were giving away one month free companion care which I did not want or ask for. My payment on 2/10/21 was $96.49 because of the free one month of companion care. Each month thereafter I paid $104.54. There is a 30 day waiting period for the hereditary and defender coverage. My puppy went for his 16 week shots on 3/13/21 and the vet noticed he was developing an underbite. Long story short, it’s a hereditary issue and he needed dental surgery to the tune of $4354.50. They have denied my claim saying that the policy really didn’t go into effect until 3/11/21-02/11/22- that would be an 11 mos policy not a 12 mos policy. They have denied my claim in violation of my State’s law. I have a second puppy that I pay $90/mos for insurance - I pay close to $200/mos for my puppies but they don’t cover claims that are clearly covered. Best decision ever!
Love Trupanion! If we didn’t have it our puppy Thor would not be alive due to the fact we could not afford his medical care and medicines. The only thing that I wish we could have done was to change his deductible where we pay more monthly to help offset his costs even further but it is what it is and we are extremely thankful that our vet Faithful Friends told me about Trupanion and really pushed hard for me to get! We love Trupanion and so does Thor!
