Takes a minimum of 4+ Weeks to receive reimbursement. It can take 3+ weeks for them to even register that they have received your faxed claim. Categorizes pet issues incorrectly. Have twice reduced our coverage from 80% down to 50% because of claims we have made. We pay premiums for up to $5000 per condition per year and have not exceeded this amount. Poor customer service with extended phone waits and a call back system does not work. Emails can take weeks for them to return. Always have excuses for their poor service…

Claim procedure seems to be overloaded.
Had trouble processing claims e-mailed from our Vet, switched over to Direct Deposit and still waiting for a claim that was supposed to be processed first but a second one came first !

Easy to enrol clear policy materials well referred.
Easy to enrol, clear policy materials, well referred. Haven't picked 10 because I have just enrolled and need to see its use in practice to have a better sense of the coverage when I need it.

Glad Trupanion Was There When Needed
It was a very stressful time, with emergency surgery required for Penny. I greatly appreciate the prompt response Trupanion provided, in dealing with the costs associated with her care and recovery.

Deductible Problem
All in all things went fine except that the issue my dog had has been ongoing since he was a puppy. I was told that because the last time he saw a vet for this issue was 2017 as the reason why i had to pay a deductible. This is because i know how to treat him at home. I saved myself money and didnt file claim which save trupanion money. I feel i should not have had to pay the deductible since this has been an ongoing issue with my dog.
