Sad disappointment
Declined payment on the exact proceedure that they covered for 2 previous cats from the same family. Required multiple calls to Healthy paws and my vet. Stressful with a sick cat wasnt enough but also the financial stress when this is why I pay a premium for pet insurance in the first place . And Im still waiting for the appropriate payment for this one claim. The are scanning for 1 word to decline my claim and with hold payment but continue to make money on my funds.I once told everyone that Heathy Paws was a godsend but not after this experience!

Exceptionally poor service
Exceptionally poor service. Poor customer service, the minute they heard disputing claim their whole demeanor changed. Could never get straight answers. It was always if you do this you will get paid tomorrow. Do this and you should have no issue getting the claim through. We had 3 vets backing us with letters and still denied. True emergency surgery as listed on the webpage and still denied. Vets from a state university sent a letter and highlighted off the MetLife webpage why it should be legit and still denied. Poor poor service. They were never going to pay us. Never will I EVER recommend pet insurance and for sure METLIFE . WHAT A JOKE!! Great Dane owners

Reimbursements are real!
I submitted my vet bills and within 10 days or so I got an update on my account balances. Once deductible was met, I began getting reimbursements directly deposited! I never had pet insurance before, but im so glad I got this insurance for my dog now that he needs surgery.

Not worth the money
I have had this pet insurance for my pets life. My pet has a bad hip. He needed surgery so I had the surgery done. I placed the claim the claim was denied. They said it was a pre-existing condition because when I got the insurance I did not have it for 14 days and I placed a claim to have the surgery done. I waited over a year. He just had the surgery done. I replaced the Claim again. They denied my claim. I am very disappointed with this company and I would not recommend this insurance company. Also, I had talked to a customer representative over a year ago and they told me even if it was considered pre-existing, they would pay for it if I had the insurance for over so many months.

Healthy Paws is the absolute worst in…
Healthy Paws is the absolute worst in pet insurance. I have had my 12-year old dog insured through them since he was a baby. They have crazy increases in premiums each and every year, but this year is the worst. As of August, they informed me that his reimbursement rate will decrease from 80% to 70%, and his monthly premium will increase from $287 to $397, a nearly 40% increase. This company claims to love pets and their owners, but they are obviously only interested in making money. To raise a monthly premium by 40% while decreasing the coverage, especially as the dog gets older and will need the insurance more, is a disgrace. I would never recommend any pet owner use this insurance company.
