Timely payment
Been with pets best for 6 years and never once had an issue with getting reimbursed in a timely manner
Really poor provider!
Pets Best insurance gives the impression on its website that filing claims is quick and easy, but that is certainly not the case. I selected their premium package for my five year-old female Shih Tzu, because I believed it would cover most any type of wellness or surgical care required without any exemptions for pre-existing conditions. In reality that is far from the truth. First of all, when I submitted my claim, it indicated that all I needed to send was the paid invoice from the vet. It made no mention of any information or documentation requirement from the vet. However, my claim was initially denied because I did not provide information about the procedures performed. When I went back to my vet for this information, they were unable to provide it in an acceptable form for. Pets Best, which requires everything in PDF format. My request was delayed considerably while the provider contacted my vet by phone to get this information. PB also required separate submissions for every service, even if it was provided on the same day. In the end, even after the deductible, my reimbursement was far less than I expected. Even after the claim was finally approved I had to wait more than a week for the payment to appear in my checking account.. I will be looking for a different insurance provider for my dog.
Excellent Insurance
My dog was diagnosed with Diabetes a year ago. I am so fortunate to have this insurance.. My monthly payment is worth-it considering how expensive are the Vet charges for this desease . My claims are processed timely and if they have a question they call my vet without bothering me(nice). Claims are so easy to submit. Needles to say I am very happy with this insurance and their customer service. I highly recommend it.
Fast claim
My pup became sick one night after vet hours, so I took her to the emergency vet close to us. She was diagnosed with pancreatitis and needed to be hospitalized for treatment. They required payment in advance of $3500. I was able to move money around to cover it but needed to get money back as soon as possible to not incur fees. I filled the claim once I had the final bill and notes from vet on the day I picked up my baby from vet, Sept 29. I uploaded the documents in the app and watched it for processing. On Oct 2 the claim was approved and payment was sent. My bank account showed payment on Oct 8th. This is much faster than prior claims! Thankful for being able to get the claim taken care of so quickly. This is exactly why I wanted this coverage!

"After I couldn't figure out why my invoice kept getting denied, I finally called customer service. The person explained exactly what was needed to show on the invoice. I called my vet, and they gave me an updated invoice. I uploaded it to Pets Best, and after that, it was quickly taken care of. Very happy it was finally approved, like it should be. Thank you."
Peace of mind!
I love how easy it is to file a claim with Pets Best and how quickly claims are reviewed and approved. The only small improvement I would suggest is faster direct deposit for reimbursements, since it usually takes a few days to arrive. Having pet insurance gives me peace of mind knowing I can afford to get my dog the best veterinary care possible without worrying as much about the cost. That peace of mind is priceless!
Scout Dog
My pup, Scout, was attacked by a bigger dog a few years ago. Since then she has had multiple medical issues that have been very pricey. I am not sure I could have made the same choices I have been able to make if I didn't know I had Pets Best to back me up. I will forever be grateful for Pets est for giving me peace of mind and more time with my girl!
Pets Best has literally saved Frankie's life
"Frankie has had Chylothorax since hid diagnosis at around 2yrs of age. The resulting surgeries were successful, however the condition damaged his heart and this last New Year's, at 5yrs old, he started showing severe signs of heart failure. He is now on lifelong, life saving heart medications that are very expensive. Pet's Best has literally saved Frankie's life, 1st during the initial diagnosis and treatment, then the resulting damage to his cardiovascular system and now with his ongoing lifesaving medications. Frankie is loved by an incredibly large fan base across the US and Canada and we, his family, and incredibly grateful to Pet's Best for allowing us to keep him living his best life."

Life Saving Experience
Back in 2024, my cat, Clover, went missing while I was away on military orders. Despite the tireless efforts of my family and community to bring her home, it took two long months before she was finally found. A resident spotted Clover lying on the side of the road and contacted animal control. When they arrived, she was in critical condition and was immediately rushed to an animal hospital, where she was given less than a 50% chance of survival. She was severely malnourished, so weak that she couldn't even lift her head, and desperately needed a blood transfusion. She was eventually transferred to another hospital that had her blood type available. The veterinarians were honest with us about her prognosis. Even if Clover survived, there was a possibility of permanent neurological damage, and she might never be the same cat we once knew. But we weren't ready to give up on her, and neither was her incredible veterinary team. We chose to give Clover every possible chance to fight. We knew her medical care could cost tens of thousands of dollars, but thanks to Pets Best, we were able to focus on giving her the care she desperately needed rather than worrying about how we would afford it. My family was responsible for only a small fraction of the total veterinary expenses. Today, Clover is living proof of what can happen when a family, a dedicated veterinary team, and a pet insurance company all come together to give an animal a second chance. And as for the possibility that Clover would never be the same cat again? The doctors were right, but in the most wonderful way. She's even more affectionate, cuddly, and kitten-like than she was before! I will forever be grateful to Pets Best for helping us give my baby girl the fighting chance she deserved.
