Our Yorkie was mauled by a husky and needed several stitches. I let the emergency VCA vet know that I had Trupanion and within the appointment time, Trupanion approved and paid 2/3 of the total bill! No need for reimbursement! Thank you Trupanion and Jimmie Klemme! ❤️

Satisfaction with the responsiveness of Pets Best for our Lilly's medical journey.
Our senior lab/shar pei mix was diagnosed with parathyroid cancer through multiple visits with our vet, local labs and finally a local surgical center. Surgery was performed and was successful. Calcium regulation, treatment and monitoring became a key result to ongoing follow up. Pets Best has been responsive, timely and thorough in response to the unanticipated costs of this journey. You may think that pet insurance is costly- and it can be, but if ever needed may (such as in our case) quickly pay for itself several times over
Outrageous Premium Hikes!
Last year, my premium went up by $50/month and this year, I received a notice that my monthly premium will be going up by $80/month without any rationale, that's a 50 percent increase and unaffordable. For a company who claims to care about pets wellbeing, I would strongly disagree! By increasing premiums at an astronomical rate every year, you're making it extremely difficult for pet parents to give their pets a healthy and long life due to your greediness. Shame on you, fetch!

I’m delighted to have pet insurance for our 14 year old Shih Tzu Toby. Vet bills are always high and we don’t always have the funds to pay for them. Now our special boy can get affordable coverage. I have been researching pet insurance for over 3 months. Nationwide is our choice for our little man.

Original plan (2017) was great. Now it’s nothing.
With the original plan it was great, though the claims process leaves a lot to be desired. I’m active duty military and I unfortunately missed the change of coverage due to deployment, they said I couldn’t change back to maximum coverage until policy renal timeframe. Well I called and they said I already had the maximum coverage based on age.. e.g. not worth the money. I immediately cancelled both my pets since it’s more cost effective to save what I paid monthly vs pay the monthly rate and deductible. I think they used to be so good. But now, no thank you
