My bulldog had to have entropian eye surgery because excessive tearing was irritating his skin. Nationwide covered a big chunk of the $800+ vet bill. I have been pleased with the coverage for routine visits as well as coverage for the unexpected. Reading the policy is key to understanding expected reimbursement.

Best decision we made as pet owners
Healthypaws has been one of the best decisions we've made when it comes to being a pet owner. It's incredibly easy to file a claim using their app and the reimbursement comes quickly. There's always plenty of communication at every step of the way which makes it feel super accessible (especially in comparison to dealing with human medical insurance companies). The best part about having Healthypaws as our insurance is that it's eliminated the financial worry that used to occur when something went wrong with our dog. Now, it's an effortless decision to make when it seems like he needs to be seen by a vet; we know it'll be covered by our insurance. I love trupanion.
I love trupanion. Yes the monthly fees are a little high, even with increasing my deductibles, but its a small price to pay knowing my fur babies are covered if (god forbid) anything ever happened to them.

Thank God I would had Nationwide Insurance
My two year old mixed breed terrier had a complete tear of his cruciate ligament. The surgery was $4300. Plus he still has rehab. I could not have done it financially without Nationwide. I have five dogs total insured through them and have referred many others

Great insurance for rescue pets with unknown background!
I got insurance through Nationwide for my two rescue dogs and it's been a lifesaver! You never know what health history an animal has and one of my dogs is in and out of the vet fairly frequently for a slew of things. It puts my mind at ease that Nationwide has our back, especially since vet bills get so expensive so quickly. Thanks to Nationwide I'm able to opt for more thorough care and treatment for my dogs!

Life Saving
Having insurance is a life saver. I've had Nationwide (formerly VPI) since 2001 and will always have insurance for my animals. It a few hundred dollars a year for insurance is less expensive that a huge vet bill.
