When I first got Toast from the shelter, they said she was totally healthy—I just activated this special Trupanion offer for rescues that same day because I thought, "Well, why not?" I am so grateful for Trupanion. I've only had Toast for a bit over two years, and we've already been through surgery for mammary tumors, TPLO for a CCL tear, luxating patella surgery, testing and treatment for heart disease and liver disease, and more. She had a hard life before me (she's full of BB pellets and has some old injuries) and she deserves only the very best care now. It's not fair that she has to go through so much, but I am so grateful to Trupanion for helping me make sure she gets what she needs. They have saved me tens of thousands of dollars, and they've saved my baby's life and quality of life over and over (on a teacher's salary, there's only so much room on the credit cards). My only regret is that I wish I'd sprung for complementary care coverage for physical therapy, but that was me being shortsighted when I signed up. Anyone who has a dog should get insurance, and Trupanion is literally the best there is.

Good coverage and customer support
I am new to pet Insurance and wanted to cover our new week old chocolate lab puppy. I spoke with Jaqueline as my wife and I had a few questions. She was able to explain our coverage details, claim procedures and reimbursement time frames. Time will tell if Furkin covers us when we make a claim. I did feel that Furkins coverage was a nice balance between other companies which offered unlimited which seemed a little excessive and static limits which didn't seem high enough.

Everyone has always been so helpful when I have had to call with a question. I also must add when my handsome English cream Golden Retriever required major surgery this past year, Trupanion was wonderful and impressive. No more soft dog toys for Rhett, as he eats/swallows them. Yikes! Never good.

I had to use the claim process several times over the past 6 months. I couldn't ask for a more user friendly experience. I completed the claim forms online and within days I was reimbursed. I also received emails/texts along the way letting me know the status.
